★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the only good avis, if you're at the ferrys or airports, you're out of luck they can't help you and they may lose your mind on the first day of your trip. Do not use avis in the Vancouver area, only Victoria on Douglas street has there operation together.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The agents at this Avis office were very friendly and accomodating when a red flag warning storm rolled through London and closed down many of the sights I had wanted to see. They modified the booking and helped me extend it as well with little to no increase in fare. They were very helpful, thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff person was incredibly helpful. Not only did he tell me exactly where the car was but he asked my preference for stairs or elevator. He explained where to find a gas station, where the gas cap is and other helpful details.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Richard saves the day! Yesterday when I had missed a bus for Nanaimo and was in desperate need of a rental car, I went to Avis. Richard was friendly and professional and even though I was unable to rent from Avis, he kindly phoned to another rental place that could. This saved time and energy when I arrived. Gratitude to Richard for Great service - a rarity these days. Keep up the great work!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband was given a car that smelled like a gym bag full Of wet socks that had been worn a few days in a row. Upon returning to trade it for a different car, He was told with a straight face that the car smelled perfectly fine. ? then he was given a smaller car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very inexpensive and polite, helpful staff. Easily lengthen the rental with no problem. Milage included. Just refill the gas and return. And the vehicle I rented was amazing.
Also, they rent to novice drivers!! Not all renters do!
I recommend AVIS
Only thing negative, that was a bit of a bother, was the garage that the car was returned/picked up from closes too early (3:30)- review of the Broughton and Douglas Street location.
