I called them to find out about getting my TV repaired .....after being transferred to another person there ..... he told me they send out the repairs to be done elsewhere......no only that .......the person started with his sales pitch about a sale they were having on TV`S and that it would be cheaper to buy another one.Then he told me that it would cost me more to fix my TV.......who the Hell are you a TV repairman !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was looking for a new TV and I had never been into haney audio before so I thought I would check it out and see what they have to offer.
I was quickly welcomed by a friendly hello.
Chris the salesman helped me with all of my questions and gave me recommendations within my budget I specified. He is very knowledgeable and no pressure at all. Chris gave me his card with his personal cell number if I had any other questions later.
I returned a few days later to purchase a TV.
Chris remembered who I was and what I had been looking at. After the sale he offered me his cell number to call him if I wanted him to walk me through the setup so I would get the best picture possible.
You don't get service like this at the big box stores. This is a great family owned business that I highly recommend.
Oh and they beat anybody elses pricing.
Give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ended up at Haney Audio Video Unlimited (HAVU) while shopping for a new set of speakers and are very happy we did.
HAVU is one of the four or so authorized dealers of GoldenEar products in BC and they are the closest to our home. I had called ahead to see which of the GoldenEar speakers they had set up for demos and headed to the store.
We walked into the well-stocked listening room and found that Bruce (with whom I had spoken on the phone) had the speakers already up and running, which we thought was a really nice touch.
We ended up ordering a set of speakers and have really enjoyed them. The entire process was a pleasure.
We just really liked the "feel" of Haney Audio Video Unlimited too. A good analogy might be a comparison between a decent chain-type breakfast joint versus an excellent, local and independent eatery.
And for a store with floor space that is smaller than a box store, they have a great selection of products. And great prices!
We have found our go-to AV and appliance store.

Updating this review February 21, 2022 to reaffirm original rating.
Recently I had decided to change out a piece of equipment that I had purchased from Haney AVU to one of higher specification and contacted Bruce about availability. He came back with a very favorable quote, to which I agreed. In the conversation I had also mentioned something about selling the old unit.
Without any intentional prompting from me, he and Dave came back with a very generous trade-in/trade-up offer that I was grateful to accept.
Still a very highly recommended place to shop for electronics and appliances.
With every transaction we've made there, they have put in extra effort and/or incentives, whether asked for or not.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought a new fridgidaire dishwasher from Haney Sewing and Sound now Audio Video Unlimited approximately 2 years ago. Year 1.5 rolls around and needs new door control panel. We have now been waiting over 6 months with out a working unit and the only thing we’ve been offered is to spend another 500$ to replace this device and every time I phone them I get the run around. Bad form poor customer service. Yes we did buy extended warranty through AVU was informed it was just as good as Frigidaires. By the way I talked to Frigidaire also and they said it is their policy to replace device when parts are not available. Who wants to come wash dishes for me?? I am not a happy camper.
