R	Ron Morris on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little spot to call home for your visit to the town of Athabaska. I have no complaints and was pleased with my room. Only one shortfall which was the amount of tv channels. Other than that it was clean, quiet and friendly staff. Big rig parking was a little small so there's only room for about 2 tractor trailer units.
H	Hamza Shabbir on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not recommended at all. Very poor attitude of the people at the front desk. Very sneaky about the reservation. They charge everything upfront and will not cancel or refund your reservation for any reason. I had a reservation for 9 nights but after the first night, realized I won't be able to stay here for another 8 nights. They would not refund any money and were extremely rude when talking to my head office. The rooms had these very strong air fresheners with a terrible odor. Had to keep my door and windows open for the first couple of days. All the drawers of the closet were broken except for one. The thermostat was totally useless, the heat would turn on and won't turn off until you do it manually. It was either too hot or too cold in the room, making it very inconvenient especially at night when you're trying to sleep. There was always a water dripping sound, sometimes from the kitchen and sometimes from the bathroom. I also noticed an insect in one of the kitchen cupboard as can be seen in the photo. Overall I had an extremely terrible experience and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room smelt very clean but I felt this was a bit of a cover up for slight laziness.... the dishes were greasy, the bathtub had hair in it... the towels are dark blue and when you dry yourself off lots of particles wipe off on you... plus the dark color is probably hiding stains... no bed bugs so that’s great!!! But mattress was VERY firm and looked somewhat new! They have BBQ’s outside you can use which I thought was pretty awesome. Over all room was incredibly dated... hoping they aren’t using the same bedding for the last 20-30 years. I believe if these rooms were deep cleaned, and updated with new curtains, blankets, pillows and towels it would dramatically change the atmosphere and over all feel of the room. Oh and switch all the lightbulbs for LED white light instead of energy sucking yellow lights would be a good idea too, because you can barely see yourself in the mirror...

We asked for a pet friendly room and I was told to keep my dogs off the furniture. LOL. thought this was a "pet" friendly room? I pulled one of the beddings down and there was crumbs and tin foil in the bed. We brought our own bedding in. Yuck. The shower head had such a white crust on it you could not move it to change up the shower. Not very friendly and I will not stay there again. Easy 60 bucks over paid.

I booked this motel because they said they could accommodate me. My wife can't come see me now because we can't get a room to bring our pups. They seem to be busy right now so don't care. Not your first choice.

They used one of those hotplates that you place into the counters, easily one of the cheaper models too. But the worse part of this is you cannot use just any pot and pan as it has a sensor that disables or prevents the stove from heating up. Needless to say, I never used to but thankfully brought my own. The internet speeds here was pretty bad too. Repeatedly the connection was dropping in and out, multiple wifi names with only one that works. I think the best one was the one in the office lobby, which sadly I was the furthest from. They offered breakfast but that table you see in the picture isn't there. You have to take your items to your room if you want to eat it, which makes it quite a far walk if you're the last unit down the row. There's definitely areas of improvement to make this visit a better one. Whether they address them or not is anyone's guess.
