Beach Grove Motel

Motel Staff Abusive For Having Health Concern Due to a health condition that leaves me prone to heat exhaustion, I booked into the Beach Grove Motel as they listed AC as one of their amenities. When checking in, I inquired again that they had AC and they confirmed this was correct. When I arrived, the AC unit in the room was so caked with dust preventing it from putting out a sufficient airflow so I cleaned it. Within a 20-minute time span, the temperature in the room went from 81F to 83.1F (28.39C) according to the temperature gage I travel with. I went to the office earnestly seeking help for my health concerns as I was already starting to feel ill. I was treated very badly by both the man and woman who worked there as my concerns were dismissed with an abusive attitude. I tried to work with them to see if perhaps I could move to a different room or even use one of the fans they had sitting in the office/lobby area. The man said, "No, you cannot have a fan. You can either leave without a refund or live with it." I explained that I could not live with the room temperature as it was as my health condition would cause me to pass out and an ambulance would have to be called. He repeated, "You can leave without a refund or live with it." These people didn't care if I passed out. With m very short time in the room, I had to decide quickly to leave and pay for a different hotel completely. I never used the room, yet they continued to state that they would not refund me. I work in customer service and have never in my life seen such horrible treatment to a customer base. I DO NOT recommend this motel and I doubt they would call 911 if one of their guests had a serious problem. This motel needs to be inspected as I would be concerned for anyone who stays there. In the end, they still told me to get out and yet charged me for the room.

Nice rooms fairly large and cleaned to a reasonable amount but my main complaint is the WiFi I can barely connect to it and when I do it stays connected for maybe 5-6 minutes and then stops working and I have to reset my phone to reconnect the staff is very friendly though I give three stars because of the WiFi issues and it could be slightly better maintained and maybe a door mat would be nice especially in the winter

I have never stayed here but know people who have and they say it was your typical motel which you do not see many nowadays. I walk by everyday with my dog, cat sometimes and kids. They always keep it clean and more so than not, there is no vacancy.

DO NOT STAY!! THE HOTEL CONTACTED ME 6 MONTHS AFTERY STAY WANTING TO CHARGE ME AGAIN, SAyING I DIDNT PAY. MY BANK HAS PROOF THE PAYmENT was taken and NOT returned. it was. and now theyre threatening to take the payment again. cause apparently my bank confirming the payment was taken, and NOT returned isnt good enough. BE CAREFUL

Family run, budget place, if you miss the ferry and looking for the place this is a good one. They have a coffee maker. Definitely dated but clean.

The place is old and not the cleanest. I have difficulty walking and found the stairs to the office very unfriendly. I am hoping that we will get our $100.00 damage deposit back, which they don’t include on your receipt. They added it to the cost of the room and when I questioned them, they said it was for damage deposit. When we walked into the room, we kinda laughed as there really was nothing to damage….but I guess it was for towel theft….Have tried to contact them for my deposit back, but…?

DO NOT STAY! I would give 0 stars if I could. This Motel was absolutely horrible. We arrived too late in the evening to find a different hotel or we would of left. Upon entry, the room smelled of cigarettes and fresh vomit. It was so unbelievably dirty we didn’t want to touch anything. Food crumbs everywhere, broken glass along the sides of the mouldings, dirt drips down the side of the bathtub. I tried to have a shower and the water nozzle fell off when I tried to turn on the water. I had to wash my hair in the bathroom sink. There were white crusted stains on the chair in the bedroom and curtains ?. We pulled off the top blanket on the beds and had to sleep fully clothed on top of the sheet for a couple hours before packing up and left before dawn to start our road trip on a very few hours sleep. Very disappointed.

A coworker and I rented two rooms at the Beach Groove Motel at the end of April 2022 for two nights. The woman working at the reception was lovely and very helpful. We also appreciated how well-located the motel was and how quiet it was at night. Our rooms were extremely dirty. There were food remains inside my drawer, and there were hairs/dirt on my window sill. My coworker found a hair in her bed sheets. The rooms smelled strongly of cigarettes, and at least three of our towels were stained. We had book rooms with kitchenettes. The kitchenettes consisted of a microwave on top of a mini fridge, coffee maker, and a set of dishes and cutlery which we had nowhere to wash (nor were we comfortable eating from them). My coworker's room did have a sitting area and table.
