M	Mike on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TL;DR - It smells like urinal cakes in here. Food is okay. I will say the first impressions upon walking into this establishment are not good. The place stinks like a bathroom and not in a clean fresh way. I understand that during covid most places have transitioned to a takeout model, but c'mon. The floors are sticky and the tables were spotty. Don't get me wrong, I have eaten at some pretty gnarly dives cough scarborough cough but this for whatever reasons set off all my red flags. Still stuck around to eat though. Food was alright. Ramen was decent. Probably wouldn't go back.

E	EatIn Ontario on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was quite a chilly day yesterday, so we were looking for some warm and hearty food to fill us up. We decided to go to Asakusa, a Japanese restaurant located in UW Plaza. As soon as we entered the restaurant the ambiance was really lovely and homely, with traditional Japanese paintings hanging on the wall to the warm lighting of the restaurant. We decided to order their Miso Ramen (Mild), Fried Udon Noodles w/ Chicken and for appetizers we got Takoyaki. The food service was really quick and we didn't have to wait long for our order to come! The presentation for all three dishes was immaculate, and the taste was amazing too! The miso ramen was the perfect dish to warm me during the winter. The miso ramen consisted of Tonkotsu creamy soup with miso seasoning, chashu, Tamago, green onion, bean sprout, wood ear, corn, and bok choy. The broth had a nice kick to it but it wasn't too spicy, overall it was really yummy and filling! The Udon Noodles were a new dish in their menu we decided to try it is was pretty good, the portion sizing was amazing and the juicy chicken pieces definitely complimented the noodles. Lastly, the Takoyaki was crisp, it was creamy, and it was most definitely delicious! Overall. the food at Asakusa was great and quite authentic! If you're looking to try Japanese ramen and other traditional Japanese food, definitely give Asakusa a try! S	Sanghoon Choi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can taste the pork from the broth itself which is nice. Thick cut meat was a pleasant surprise. Noodles were a little meh but that could be because I ordered take out.

Aesthetically, the food and restaurant itself look really nice, but truthfully it was nothing special in the slightest. The food was bland, the egg that came with my ramen still had large pieces of shell on it, so my meal was ruined. I think the waiter said a total of ten words to us, never came by to refill our drinks or ask if everything was going smoothly. Thank goodness my boyfriend had his water or else I would have gone the entire rest of my meal thirsty. On top of that some of our food never came. When we paid, it took them a total of three seconds to start clearing our table for the next guest while we were still sitting. In all, it’s fine in a pinch. Go to downtown Kitchener instead for a better experience/quality.
S	Sarah Vu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent place in the university plaza to get ramen. The broth was delicious and had good flavouring and there was good toppings but nothing spectacular. Services was decent and friendly. Value for food was a tad more expensive given the quality (a bowl of ramen was $14), however the portions for the udon dish was quite large.
