★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure if the chef here changed but the takeout here taste pretty bad. Everything just looks and tastes like the chef dumped half a bottle of dark soy sauce on. Pork kidney was tough and not much flavour.
The takeout quality is nowhere near that of the dine in dishes before the pandemic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service was good and the ambience was nice too, they had pretty plates. However, the food is absolutely horrendous. Do not get the tomato soup beef noodles if you ever go here. It tasted like they put an entire ketchup bottle in the soup.

One of the nicer Chinese restaurants in Waterloo. The staff were very attentive and kind. The wait was also not too bad (about 15 min for all of the food to arrive). The presentation of the food was aesthetically pleasing and the dishes were tasty. One thing to watch out for is how spicy some of the dishes can be. If you request a mild version of a spicy dish, it will still be decently spicy. Portions are good to share with 4-5 people in total. The overall environment is also very beautiful with a cherry blossom tree (fake of course) as well as aesthetic wooden furniture.

Szechuan style water boiled spicy fish, this boiling ibes full of flavor.
Pork intestine with hot pepper so tempting, perfect heat perfect spice !
Braised slices white gourd with dried shrimp, an intense dried shrimp flavor that enhances the flavor of sauce and super umami flavor
Stir fried Choy sum with dry shrimp : Hot + soften veg Choy sum but not over cooked, dried shrimp added for flavour of the dishes
Chinese herbal soup :
Chicken with cordyceps flower;
Black Chicken soup with Chinese herbs
Soup is soul of the whole!
