★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our yearly place to visit during my daughters birthday. Spots are mostly shaded, can visit the river too, just wish there was more of a beach there. Can have a ice cream cone to get some relief from the heat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing property . Fresh pies for sale, amazing local beef for sale, made the best cheeseburger id ever had. Quiet, family orientated.The owner keeps out any riff raff. Fair prices, 35 $ a night is a bit high, but not far off from a big provincial site. Cows and goats in their pens. And yes a rooster. Cool spot. Off season monthly availability. Everyone who lived their love it. Great micro community . I would without a doubt, retrurn

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here a few years ago because the weather was nice and service at the hotels was so bad I might as well be sleeping outside. The woman at the front desk was very nice to me and made an effort to make me feel as comfortable as possible with my stay. They even have a running water bathroom! No yucky outhouses haha. All of the staff members were extremely kind to me and they sold delicious fresh jams and things in the shop. If I had children I would be very happy to being them as they have a little petting zoo (not sure if you can pet the animals so just a zoo perhaps?) And I heard from others that in the fall it is even nicer although I cannot imagine fall weather being on board with that. Some of the campground areas had electricity plug ins and there were very nice trails in the area that lead down to the river which you can swim in as well. I would recommend being careful as the water is deep. Donkeys or something Similar loud sometimes but not in the campground area

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely love this campground. Rustic and peaceful. Family oriented with farm animals, skateboard park, warm river for swimming. Great hiking trails, produce, meat and baked goods for sale. Milkshakes were awesome, hubby had 1 everyday. Very welcoming and friendly.
Highly recomend. We will return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our favourite Vancouver Island campground. The setting is very picturesque, the varied treed and open sites are ample size for our 33' Class A, the power and water connections are well done and as we left this fall, the owners were installing sewer connections, a huge task. The owners / hosts are the most pleasant and accommodating people you can imagine. They will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. The setting along the river, the walking trails, the safe family atmosphere and the down to earth nature of the owners will make you want to return. We plan to do so for many years to come.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've camped here several times and always loved it there, but this weekend I visited my brother there and was pleased to hear they had given him the use of a large Gazebo for our celebration of life. Highly recommend this place.
