★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Kingsway Hotel/Pub is one of three historic hotels that grace downtown Port Alberni, fortunately they are still open and active. The Kinsgway Hotel looks old and somewhat rundown on the outside - and does not look very inviting. But if you venture inside your in for a treat. The large size pub is interesting and filled with local history. The pub food is very good and plentyful as is the drinks selection. The employees are friendly and the service is top notch.Depending on the day you visit, there may music bingo and/or live music in the evening.
When in Port Alberni drop by the Kinsway Hotel Pub and I trust you too will discover a great place to kick back, enjoy lunch and perhaps a game of pool and a beverage all at a decent price. We're glad we did.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a pretty good pub never stayed at the hotel before. The pup just renovated and looks great has a great setup for bands as it has a stage so if any bands are looking for a place to play this is an option

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like the decor, they have lots of fun game to play for free like darts, pool, beer pong, and shuffle board, the staff is really friendly, they have little cute jars of freebies you can pick from, they have a good selection of drinks, and they bring in DJs from the mainland to spin some awesome beats.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place has been updated nicely but, don't like the DJ booth as the music is too loud to listen + talk to people you are sitting with. Prefer a more laid back + quieter place without DJ music.

Wish the new owners the best of luck keeping the place going and revitalizing the historic integrity of the building and atmosphere. Has always been one of my favorite places to sing.
