C	Carol Bucking on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A terrific little spot! The hosts were so wonderful - welcoming, pleasant, and knowledgable about the area. I arrived after 18+ hours of travel absolutely fried. After a relaxing soak in the jetted tub and reading a book in the parlour overlooking the gardens, I was rejuvenated. For other travelers, be aware this is a B and B, not a large hotel. There were some guests that didn't understand that it is a small property with other guests. Noise levels should be considerate of others. Not that you have to be silent, but just considerate that this is a shared space. (The hosts interceded and resolved the issue in case you were worried). Breakfast was included, and was a selection of fruits, pastries, yogurt, muslei, and juice, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. So if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, clean, and cozy place to stay definitely stay here. If you are looking for a place to have a loud party I would look elsewhere, you will be disappointed.
M	M. Shokuienia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place for relaxation far from all the normal life rush. Very beautiful garden specially in May. Very friendly and willing to assist owners. We are happy staying here and suggest it to all who like quiet and cozy place to stay for couple of nights. Rooms are clean, all bath looks quite new although rooms are a bit outdated. Linen are clean but might need some bleach removal to remove old stains. Overall its a very good place to stay and I recommend it specially when comparing prices

Highly recommended to anyone looking to explore the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Thank you so much Marla and Tom!
r	ron francis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ what a beautiful place. Huge yard and set up very nice. Lots of parking. And secluded as much as you can be for being in town. Back yard was amazing. Secluded and quiet. The house itself is set up perfect for a bed and breakfast. The owners live next door in an attached separate portion of the house. 8 bedrooms upstairs and a little coffee area with bar fridges. The main floor has a pool table and conference table. Also has a breakfast area. The couple are very nice people and do their best to welcome you in. I believe Tom and his wife (drawing a blank on her name) are awesome. Due to covid the breakfast had to be cold but otherwise awesome.
A	Agi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very nice place to stop and rest. Rooms are very nice decorated with older antique style furniture. Beds are comfortable bathrooms are big with jetted bathtubs. Great after your long hike. Breakfast is included with price of the room. They have table and chairs in the dining room or eat in the garden where there is chairs or picnic table. Food is packaged separately. There is fresh fruit cups, yogurt, granola, cereal muffins and oh so very good coffee and tea. Juice is also available. They follow all Covid rules so be comfortable with that knowledge when you come.

Offered for us to use the pool table and upstairs lounge area. We were about to do the Della Falls Hike. (During 40 degree weather). They had our room "pre-chilled" so it was a blessing to have the AC on ahead of time. The whole place is very warmly furnished and what you would expect from a 5 star lodge. Everything was clean and impeccable. They have thought of everything you could ever ask for. They also provided a nutritional breakfast with many options and fresh fruit. O, I almost forgot they recommended the best place in town for dinner and helped get us there on time as they knew the closing time! (Starboard Grill). Thanks again! We would love to come back to Port Alberni for nothing else but to indulge in the amenities of the Cedar Wood Lodge.

Tom and Marla were kind, personable, and considerate- they told us about nearby dining, they handmade breakfast with love and were simply a delight. It is an amazing B&B experience!
K	Katie Haggerty on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is absolutely wonderful. I was lucky enough to get a last minute cancellation so was only able to stay the one night unfortunately. Tom & Maria are so friendly and welcoming, it feels like you've known them for years. I was traveling with my eight year old (who is very shy) and they were so kind to him. The Inn and grounds are beautiful, and so very, very well kept. Our room was lovely and the tub even had massage jets that felt fantastic after a long day of travelling. We have travelled from coast to coast and this place is by far our favourite place that we've stayed. I'd have paid twice their nightly rate and still felt I got more than my money's worth. So nice to have such a wonderful stay at such a wonderful price. Highly recommend staying here if you're passing through Port Alberni!
