★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being a Port Alberni girl myself, I’m so happy to see a new locally resourced business venture take place in the Alberni Valley.
Coleman Campground is absolutely lovely. All sites are on the Stamp River, offering great opportunities for a good soak of a lovely float. I have never slept so well while listening to the river just outside our door!
Although there are no services this year, plans are underway for more services next year. In the meantime, the flush toilets and port-a-potties are meticulously maintained.
My husband and I love it here so much, we have already booked our stay for next year. This is a gem!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The camp caretaker was so kind to meet us at the front as we came in pretty late around 9pm. She even showed us right to our spot!
The grass was nice to camp on. Sound of the river were an added bonus. Bathrooms and shower were meticulously clean. Shower was amazing!! Price is a little more than other campgrounds I've stayed at (when compared to other tent camping, unserviced sites), but understandable given warm showers, staff/caretaker on site, and sites being spacious (though there isn't privacy).
Hope to see this new campground prosper!
