I met Dr. Rana and his wonderful team through referral from family. My first experience was in the fall when our cat required surgery for bladder stones. The quoted price was very competitive and in the end it worked out less than quoted which was a pleasant surprise. As the surgery was urgent I was super impressed how quickly they were able to get our boy in and help him. They offered excellent communication with you through the process and put my mind at ease in such a stressful time. Our kitty has recovered due to the amazing TLC he received while there. They went above and beyond my expectations.

Dr. Rana and his staff are all amazing. He is very knowledgeable and our Havanese x poodle just adores him very much. He takes his time in explaining the vaccinations that are required and follows up to make sure all is fine the day after. Knowing this just makes you feel really good when taking your dog to his office. Highly recommended!

Dr. Rana, Stephanie, and the team are just wonderful. My poor rescue hedgehog’s eye enucleated (he’s been with me for a year and I don’t know much about his medical history) and he needed eye-removal surgery and they were so understanding and efficient, even when I was so sad and upset, patiently explained everything, and even phoned me back when I had follow-up questions after 7:00 PM, which was so nice and made me feel more confident. I recently moved from Richmond to Langley and it’s hard to find a vet knowledgeable about hedgehogs, and I found out that all the surgeries from my previous vet are actually referred to Apex anyway! I really recommend them.

First of all, let me start by saying, when I find something great, I want to share it; whether that is a product or a service. The same is true when I find the opposite. In this case...Do NOT take your pet to Apex in Langley! If I could give zero stars, I would. They are not professional and I felt very rushed. They do not provide quality care by any means! I had taken my cat in and asked them to take a look at his ears to make sure he didn't have mites or anything like that, and I asked them to clean his ears. They said, 'We don't do that'. The Dr. looked in his ear for less than 3 seconds. I am not even kidding you! I ended up taking him to another clinic called Poco (recommended) and they discovered he had an ear infection and cleaned his ears spotless. During Covid, Apex expected me to leave my cat without speaking to the vet, to drop my cat off. This made zero sense! As the 24/7 caretaker, I wanted to speak to the vet so that they could have a holistic understanding of what had been going on. It was absolutely ridiculous. I also found the staff stand offish and not very communicative. I know it is hard to find a good vet, but definitely stay away from this one if you don't want to get robbed of your hard earned cash and if you care about the wellbeing of your furry family! It is clear they care more about the money than the animals themselves...

TERRIBLE, absolutely terrible and unprofessional receptionist. I asked if I can bring my pet bird in and she said we dont take birds and as I was talking she hung up on me. I called back many times and she would pick up and hang up the phone. This was on dec 17 around 8:20 am. So so so unprofessional. It’s too bad if the vets are good here because I will NOT recommend this place to anyone because of the receptionist. I dont want anyone to get treated like she treated me

DON'T GO THERE IF YOU HAVE A BIRD. My poor parrot had been throwing up all night, took him there because it was the only clinic in the area that apparently treats bird. The man doesn't know a thing about birds. We had to wait for ages despite having an appointment. Dr.Rana finally came in, asked if he bites, I said he does. Went to look for a towel. Took like half an hour "looking for it", I could hear he took some personal calls, brought a dirty towel with cat hair, grabbed him, felt him up, just said his crop was empty. Prescribed some metronidazole. Said he was going to get it and we'd give the first dose together. Took another half hour +, we went out to look for him. He never came back, instead we were told by another person that the medicine was up front. They were just going to have me pay and leave, so I asked if we were going to give the first dose together as he had said. The woman up front (who was nice) has no training in bird handling, couldn't give to him. I had to wrap him and she gave him part of it and he threw it up immediately. The doctor came, zero compassion just said to try giving him the medicine again when I got home. Useless. Next day took him to Night Owl Bird Hospital in Vancouver they said he was on the verge of dying. He needed immediate hydration and had to be hospitalized. If I had continued with just that medication, my child would've died. Don't bring birds there, just make the trip to Vancouver. They actually know what they're doing

Dr. Rana repaired a primary cleft palate & lip on one of my 5 month old Golden Retriever puppies. I was so impressed with Dr. Rana's skills, experience and results, words cannot express how grateful I am for him and his staff. As a breeder it is important that I have a vet with the skills, experience, knowledge and professionalism to work with me, my dogs and puppies. Dr. Rana and his staff continue to delivery the best for me and my dogs. I highly recommend Apex Animal Hospital as your Veterinarian of choice. When it comes to anything surgical and you are looking for a second opinion, don't hesitate to make an appointment to see Dr. Rana. Thank-you again Dr. Rana and staff at Apex Animal Hospital for your care and support. Couple pictures of "Cliff" the night before surgery and after.

Called and was able to make an appointment for the next day. Front desk staff was welcoming, kind and helpful. Didn’t have to wait long to see the vet, he was awesome. Thorough but didn’t try to upsell. They all handled my cat with care gave her excellent treatment and being a first time cat guardian he gave me a lot of helpful information. It’s a bit of a drive from home but worth it! They also do a lot of work with animal rescue organizations. Tip* make an appointment earlier in the day so you’re less likely to be kept waiting. If you’re looking for a new vet I would give them a chance!
