these people pretend to want to hear your side of the story but really they just make you waste your time... I will never ever again donate or support anything they do....

People working at front are rude, my friend was there to adopt a cat, we were ignored and were chatting with co workers 3 people at front desk. We also dropped of tons of blankets that we crotched and not even a thanks, we were told just drop them by the door. .From now kn Pet Mart and Kitchener spca will get our blankets.

Went there this afternoon to drop of a stray Mama cat and her 2 kittens that we found in our backyard. Originally asked for humane society but they just closed and the lady asked us to call animal services. No problem, I got ahold of a lady and said she'd have someone come out in a few minutes. Few minutes pass and a heavier set man pops his head out and then walks back in. I guessed it wasn't for me. About 10 minutes later he comes back out and yells at me meanly across the parking lot if I had the cats. I didn't fully hear him so I responded "what, i cant hear you" again in a non pleasent voice "did you call about the cats?" I responded yes, he than proceeded to yell across the parking lot instead of nicely walking up to me stating I was supposed to bring them to the door. I explained that I didn't know as the lady on the phone didn't stay and that I didn't appreciate his attitude. He then sternly yells again to bring them in with my ID. This man was completely rude and has no right to treat a citizen the way he did. I'm trying to save these cats, no need to be disrespectful. I felt so uncomfortable, and if he was like that to a human, how would he be like to these kittens. So my fiancΓ© and I left. Few minutes later a get a call, it's the man from the pound. He asked if that was is leaving and asked if we are taking the cats. I responded with yes im taking them as you were completely rude and I didn't feel comfortable leaving them with him. His response was that I was rude to him. My fiancΓ© said I was nothing but nice and he was the one who couldn't bother to walk over to me to have a discussion. I again stated he was the rude one and he wasn't in the right mind to talk to me like that. His response, "no im not in the right mind as I just put two cats down" why I asked and continued to say just because that happened doesn't mean you need to be rude. Before I finished my sentence he hung up on me. Youd think they'd be happy I brought a mama and her 2 kittens. Guess he really doesn't care!

While the people are more than willing to accept the animal you drop off don't expect a smile. I tried to be nice and talkative but the only individual who would speak with me was the male emplyee who I originally spoke with on the phone. The two female employees scowled at me from the back. Later in the week I had to try repeatedly to see if I could gather any information regarding the dog I dropped off. First, I was rudely transferred twice to where no one answered the phone. Then I called two more times and eventually just left a message. When I received a return call I was rudely told that I had signed an agreement saying that I could not be released any information regarding the dog. I didn't ask for owner information. I didn't even specifically inquire as to the dog's status although I know when I dropped her off she was in heat. All I asked was whether or not it was possible to know if she was there. That's it. Nothing complicated. Just let me know if the dog had been left in your care past the 4 days given for an owner to retrieve her. She is, without a doubt, adoptable. I'm not asking to know about temperment testing because I spent several hours with the dog and she was very well behaved and partially trained. I understand that sometimes there are indivuals who drop off animals and call frequently regarding their status. I'm not one of those people. I understand that releasing too much information, especially regarding owners, may be a privacy issue. I wasn't asking that. All I asked was "Can you please tell me if she's still in a kennel in your facility?" . That's it. I don't need someone to be rude on the other end of the phone. I didn't give anyone attitude so don't give me any. For an organization that asks you to donate things like office supplies and toilet paper along with your donations for the animals I'm disgusted. I ALWAYS donate to the pound and the Humane Society and now I wonder where those funds actually go. Don't be rude to those who support your organization and look at restructuring the contract that people sign when they drop off an animal. There's nothing wrong with dispensing information regarding an animals status over the phone and actually increases it's chances of being adopted. There IS however something wrong with being openly rude to those dropping off animals and calling about their status and then expecting donations for your personal use.

Dog barking complaints go through them now. The city needs to retake over. Their system is annoying and their ineffective. Had to call multiple times before someone picked up. Sometimes it would send me to voicemail, sometimes I would follow the prompts it wouldn't lead anywhere (the recorded message would restart). After getting through someone, they told me I had to keep a log for 2 weeks of the barking dog before anything can be done... On top of this, I have to print off their log "form", manually write down when the dog barks, AND hand it to them in person. I am busy. I don't have time to write down when the dog barks since it is pretty much all the time. Why do you think I called you? Because it constantly barks! Plus why do I have to wait 2 weeks before something can be done?! I have to subjugate myself to two weeks of nosie pollution before you can even go to them and give them a warning!?

I don't usually write reviews, but I thought really unfair this place to have just 3.8 stars. I had an injured bird in my backyard today, so I gave them a call and they sent an officer to pick the bird up within an hour. The officer was really nice and polite, explained to me what the bird probably had and what was going to happen to it. I had a great experience, thank you!

I just contacted Animal Services regarding a wild fox roaming around my neighbourhood where there are a lot of pets and children. I was advised that they don’t handle wild animals. That’s right they come if there is an injured animal but peoples safety forget it. You should change the name to β€œAnimal Services for domestic animals only. You deal with the wild animals that could harm your loved ones”
