Project management was unsatisfactory. When we decided to omit some materials/finishes to reduce costs, Lehel just increased the prices of others! This owner was also a pretty high-stress person, complaining a lot about being behind at other sites. That was not our problem, but it did become that...
Demolition was sloppy; multiple and deep holes showed up in the walls - how does this happen with an empty apartment?? The baseboards weren't even scored first before they were ripped off the wall, leaving significant tears in paint and drywall. No repairs or discounts were ever offered for all that unnecessary damage.
From the very start the crew was a day and a half behind due to problems at other sites, and we were afraid our building's elevator booking schedule would be disrupted because of this company's poor planning - so we helped the crew load/unload each day and got them back on schedule!
The installation was very good, but not excellent. The crew missed coloured caulking in several visible areas; they also made cuts around one closet organizer that were off, leaving its frame misaligned after it was dropped back in.
Alliance Flooring is not a bad company - the selection they offer and their installation crew are as good as you could hope for, but it was the demolition crew and Lehel's customer service skills and business practices that were subpar. This may have been a good company at one point, but the pandemic and the financial winfall it has become for contractors has made some companies like Alliance lose sight of what made them good before, and too focused on making money.
In the end, we can not recommend Alliance Floor Source.

Tina was the person I spoke with and she was very helpful, quite pleasant and provided some good insight about vinyl flooring.
They have a nice selection of flooring as well.
For those looking for flooring, make it a point to visit Alliance Floor Source; I liked the selection and the experience.

β β β β β We needed to get new flooring installed (before babyβs arrival) in a short period of time. Alliance was able to help with a suitable laminate from stock and the carpet had to be ordered in. Alliance was able to fit in the installation to our tight schedule, we had to wait a bit longer than expected for the arrival of the carpet. After all the whole project got completed before the babyβs arrival. Thank you Alliance for making it work for us with our tight schedule. We are happy with the work and would recommend this company to family and friends.
