Her background in kinesiology allows her a deeper understanding of the body and she brings added value by offering stretching and at home exercise tips for different muscle groups that are overly tight. I spin, lift weights, do yoga and spend a lot of time sitting in my car for work and she’s been able to help improve my posture and relieve tight overworked muscles. Today she came to our home to help my partner who had hurt his back a week ago flipping a mattress. He was in excruciating pain. Alison brought her table and all of the other equipment she would possibly need. Not an easy task to lug all of this stuff from her car to the 7th floor of our building. Finally my doctor suggested therapeutic massage. I have had two treatments with Alison, and the difference in my pain and mobility is incredible. Alison is not only skilled, but knowledgeable, and throughout the massage, she talks about what she's doing and why she's doing it. After the second massage, she followed up with an email that included hand drawings of the exercises she prescribed, with detailed explanations about the anatomy and how each exercise works. My hip is much much better but I am hoping that one or two more massages will "cure" what ails me. I recommend Alison unconditionally.
