First time I was here they were excellent and super nice and helped me with my anxiety, then the second time I came here they were snobby and bossy. One day was 5 stars, another day was 1 star.

Walk in for 06:30 opening. Efficient, professional and well executed. Moved people in a well planned and timed manner. Thank you staff!

I walked in for blood and urine test last Sunday around 2 PM, there was no waiting at reception. The staffs were nice. Thank you!

I called in regard to make a vaccination appointment and the lady who talked to me did not help at all. She told me the website’s name and I was asking for help since I couldn’t find where. Her words were and I quote: β€œYou go book the appointment online I have other calls to take care of” then she hung up. That’s so rude after I was waiting 20 minutes to get attended by someone.

Walk-in blood service on a stat holidayβ€”things are well-organized and ran smoothly. Doors opened at 6:30 (labs start at 7am) and there were two women doing intake. I arrived by 6:45 and was one of the first 30 people. I was done and gone by 7:35. Considering Covid, capacity, and the inability to make an appointment for 3+ weeks: I had a great experience. The staff were all lovely and friendly.

Went to get my gestational diabetes blood work done. Most of the staff was kind and friendly. An hour after arriving, I asked to use the washroom and was instructed to give them a urine sample while I was in there. Upon exiting the washroom, a phlebotomist tersely asked me where I was and said she'd been calling me. (She said this, despite seeing me exit the washroom, obviously somewhere where I couldn't respond to her.) She told me it was past my time to get my blood work done and that it might be too late (which is troublesome, since appointments are booked about 3 weeks in advance, and I needed this appointment done within a specific timeframe). If blood collection is extremely time sensitive, they should have asked me to wait literally 5 minutes before going to the washroom and done my blood work first. How could I have possibly known better, especially when I was doing what a staff member told me to do? While the phlebotomist was nice after her initial outburst, I think this was totally avoidable. I might now be unable to have my gestational diabetes blood work properly done within the specified timeframe, due to their error. In the future, I recommend staff communicate better with each other and agitated tones not be taken with patients for mistakes for which they are not culpable and which will not be amended by rudeness.

Drove in to Calgary to get some walk in blood work, understanding with the state of the world there may be a bit of a wait. However the disorganization and lack of courtesy on the part of the staff went beyond even what can be understood given what they are probably dealing with on a daily basis. I fully appreciate what a difficult and stressful job the nurses and staff in that lab must have right now, but please understand you’re also dealing with humans who are likely not there getting blood taken for happy reasons. Expecting them to wait for 4 hours, be spoken to rudely, be told they’re liars about how long they’ve been waiting, be told they did something wrong by lining up in line (and for not checking in when there was no place to check in?) … this is also not the answer. Courtesy is needed on both sides. I do hope the situation gets better for all the staff, and perhaps by default the patients who are getting treated so poorly will also start getting better service. I will not be back, but, given that it’s government funded, this bad review and my lack of business will hardly matter to them, I suppose. So - it can just be a warning to my fellow patients - go elsewhere if you can. Cheers.

I had about 10 blood tests here over the years. It’s the best place to get blood test at. There’s difference in skill between the nurses doing the blood test. Some do it so you can’t feel it at all, some do it so that you will feel a pinch for 0.5-1second. Nothing too bad! The worst part is waiting. Some rooms have windows so you can watch the parking lot, cars, people while waiting and it helps to distract yourself this way!
