I find staff incredibly lazy and arrogant. Patients waiting there doesn't seem to prevent them from chit-chatting in a relaxed fashion. My appointment was supposed to be 30 minutes. After 35 minutes I was still in the room with nobody coming to collect my blood. I had to walk out and return to work without having done any tests that I desperately needed to get my diabetes medication.

I will put 3 stars because people here are friendly and responsive BUT 1) this place is impossible to find. 2) they did not provide an instruction of how to find this place. 3) my appointment was delayed for 20 min 4) and maybe I am spoiled but a reminder that you need fasting would be helpful.

I'm actually a little shocked and dismayed at the one star reviews here. Yes, getting your blood work done can be unpleasant but I have always found that the staff here are courteous, friendly and professional and I absolutely HATE getting bloodwork done. Every time it has been remarkably quick and relatively painless despite my pathological abhorrence of needles. It's a great central location, a quick jab and I have never spent more than 20 minutes in the office.

So s l o w! ?. Never had an appointment where they’ve kept my appointment time. I always arrive 10minutes early. On average, they don’t actually see me until 45minutes after my appointment time. I come here monthly too! Today was very quiet with people missing their appointments due to the spring snow storm, but they still took me in 45 minutes after my appointment time. Pretty brutal.

Honestly one of the best labs I’ve visited. Check in was easy. Only waited about 10 minutes before I was assisted by the staff. The staff at this lab were incredibly kind and friendly. I’m scared of needles but the technicians were so gentle, I barely felt the pain. The location is a bit tricky to find but it’s very clean and organized.

To get to the Alberta Lab office, look for Artrium Elevators; when on the 3rd floor, go around the elevator and behind the elevators you will see their big sign in a hallway with direction - just keep following them..(it may seem a bit confusing) I had my appointment on time, but I was there on Christmas Eve day and it was empty (even though they were fully booked). It’s true that people book appointments, but don’t show up..

Hit and miss experiences at this laboratory location. There are a few staff that sit at the front and really struggle with the software that is used. Several times I have been told that I don't have an appointment; I was told to leave during strict pandemic protocol or wait when the lab had walk in availability. I have tried to argue with them and offer to show them the booked appointment on my phone. A lot of time can pass with this nonsense before a more competent staff member intervenes and can quickly find the appointment schedule. The computer challenged staff have also messed up my blood work requisition. Front line staff should have full computer skills. I am going back to the Sheldon Chumir Laboratory - I don't have the patience or time for this.

#344 3RD FLOOR This location was a bit hard to find, unless you came in early and asked a few building staff on where is the lab. You have to use the elevator to easily access the lab. You can use the stairs too but it’s quite confusing with the layout of the building labyrinth. You need to have an appointment to get in and prepare your Requisition form, Health card and Photo ID for fast processing. All staff were amazing, especially Maria who took my blood work and found the time to interact with me about kids, life and greeted me a happy birthday! The wait time was kinda long (25-30mins after the reception) but I don’t mind since I’m not in a hurry anyways. There were lots of pay parking surrounding the building.
