★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought a broken necklace here because of the positive reviews - don't believe them!! My necklace came back visibly black in the area that was soldered, and it broke the first time I wore it after the repair. Parts of the chain literally disintegrated. I took the necklace to a neighbouring shop to be fixed again; they said they've seen an uptick in customers coming to their shop with broken jewellery after initially taking it to AK Lam to be fixed. In addition, AK Lam charged me $20 for the repair; the shop next door only charges $15.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I accidentally got crazy glue all over my engagement ring (a raw diamond full of tiny crevices and perforations), AK Lam did a fantastic job with the glue removal and polishing. My ring was back safely on my finger after less than 24 hours!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3 weeks ago I took my wedding ring set with a raised solitaire princess cut diamond on top of 28 smaller princess cut stones because one claw was bent. The jeweler advised that two claws required repair and charged $250. The repairs resulted in all four claws now catch on my dresses, furniture etc. Will never use this jeweler again! I now take all my jewelry to the "The Bay" in Penticton an trust their work completely! I don’t have the option to give no stars or I would!
