I called air Canada vacations to get updated e-ticket because they changed my flight, and after waiting 2 hours, they hung up on me. Now I’ve been waiting over 2 hours on hold waiting to get someone else on the line for β€œcustomer service”. This is the worst experience that I have ever had. Truly the worse customer service. They take your money, but don’t offer customer service to accommodate changes. Book with WestJet next time

How is this level of service (or lack thereof!) even acceptable for any business? We have been on hold for almost 14 hours total just to cancel a booking! You call in when they open then eventually after 4+ hours you have a life and need to do something so forced to drop. Or worse you have been on hold for 4+ hours and since their day is done BOOM you are dropped. Don't use them!! Not worth the discount in pricing you may get.

Booked a vacation with Air Canada Vacation at the Grand Riviera Princess hotel in April and experienced blatant racism. Upgraded to the platinum suite and got not of the perks! No welcome drinks; asked to replace burnt out light bulb, still waiting; phones in bathroom and main room not working….only one was fixed; trying to get a sun lounge was like looking for the holy grail! The waiters totally ignored us and served the non blacks. This in your face racism was too much! This was my first time booking with Air Canada Vacations and I will not do it again!

Not sure if even a single star can be given but unfortunately nothing less is possible. Also, wondering if there is any consumer protection group who can help this company's victims? In late 2021, I purchased a beach front hotel vacation in Italy's south. Some weeks prior to the actual vacation date in May 2022, I got informed that the hotel that was booked is no longer available and I'll need to take a hotel that is 300 meters from the beach. Agreed to the change based on the information given that the new hotel has a beach portion but when we get to the hotel, were disappointed to find that the hotel did not offer access to the beach until after our vacation ended. The following were the mis-statements / changes and every time, our option was - take it or leave it. 1. Return flight changed from coming direct to Toronto to via Montreal adding several extra hours to the return journey 2. Beach front hotel changed to a hotel some distance away but with an understanding that beach will be accessible, only to find out in Italy at the hotel that the beach will not be accessible for our stay 3. Service of a local representative would be available. No such option. Our flight to Rome was delayed from Toronto and when we arrived in Rome, we saw no one at the airport to bring us from the airport to the Rome train station. There was no Air Canada Vacations counter / representative or agent to be seen. After about an hour and half of searching, eventually an Air Transat rep at the airport helped us by making multiple calls to eventually locate and find the driver who was supposed to pick us up from the airport! 4. On our return, Air Canada misplaced our checked in bag which eventually got delivered to our home the next evening. Overall, poorly managed company, bad customer service and arrogant attitude. Unless something changes drastically, probably my last vacation purchase from Air Canada Vacations!

This website is an elephant in the room. You would think that the largest airline service in Canada would offer a friendly approach to booking a vacation. The flex date tab is useless, other times, dates picked show unavailable only after your 3 screens into the selection process. Give available dates upfront. Not surprised by the comments and the clear frustration that people are commenting about in the reviews. Why am I wasting my time on a booking site that only has 2.5 stars as a rating. Smarten up ACV!

Air Canada Vacations is the worst travel agency I have ever encountered. It is practically impossible to get a hold of travel agents, spent numerous hours on hold and never got through. Email communication is a complete lie and brushing off, emails are never returned. My issue was never resolved. I will never deal with this organization again. And will recommend all my relatives and friends not deal with Air Canada Vacations at all.

All right, I thought I’d give them to the end of the 6 weeks processing time to see if they refunded my package, but here we are. Booked a vacation for Jan 10th, COVID cases went up, so I cancelled with the careflex package I bought at exactly 21 days out. Got a second invoice confirming the refund would happen. It’s now 6 weeks later, and I have yet to receive a refund. That’s on top of the lack of flexibility with booking online, calling 4 days in a row to try and find flights that would not require travelling at 2 in the morning, and an overall slow and cumbersome time booking a vacation. I’m certain if we had actually decided to go, there would have been mountains of frustrations and problems. Looking forward to chatting with my lawyer over next steps.

In my opinion, this is fraud disguised as β€˜technical difficulties’ and β€˜high call volumes’. We purchased an all-inclusive Cancun package for 4 at a cost of approx. 15K CAD. We used Air Canada Vacations as my husband has an Elite 75 status which we incorrectly thought would provide the standard benefits. We had also purchased the careflex / carefree combo which allows for one change and provides price protection in the event of a price drop. After purchase, we decided to change resorts but soon discovered that this was not possible via the website. We tried calling the phone number on multiple days but this was either not functional or could not talk to anyone even after being on hold for hours. Furthermore, We noticed a price drop on the website, however, we could never get a hold of anyone in order to get a price adjustment. I even sent an email with proof of price reduction (screenshot from website) but no one even responded. Thankfully we were not stuck for any reason during the vacation or would never have been able to get any support. This entire experience was a major disaster. I would highly recommend staying far away from Air Canada Vacations.
