It's always been a struggle to find hair stylists who can care for my hair in Vancouver, very thankful to not have to go through that anymore. Salon is always clean and tidy, also carry a great variety of products for all hair types. Always enjoy chatting with the genuine and friendly team of stylists, who always leave me looking great (can't say enough about how good their braiding is)!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience here! I have struggled to find black owned hair businesses in Vancouver. This one is it! Relatively easy to book an appointment by calling and they even followed up the day before with a reminder call, which I appreciated. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. The salon is clean and tidy, I loved their music too. The woman who braided my hair was knowledgeable and so talented. She flawlessly and quickly did 6 cornrows with tiny braids in between each for me. She checked in throughout to make sure I liked the style too. Parking is a challenge but hey, it's a city! Recommend going early to find a spot on the neighborhood side streets. Can't wait to come back and I love this salon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BEST SALON EXPERIENCE IN VANCOUVERR!! y (the owner I believe) was soo sweet and accommodating , she helped us with our requests, and even called me after to check on how it went. overall very incredibly warm staff, and business im very proud to support in my community:) i hope they expand into salons around the city and beyond!! also special shout out to the girl who skipped nicki minaj on the radio because that’s what’s up

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I want to start by saying, the owner was very nice and patient with all my questions about her hair products. I bought hair from her salon but by the time it came to my appointment, they said I had never called. I got my hair done at another salon, Two months later the hair is matted and tangled. I took accountability and went ahead and bought another three bundles, making sure I take the best care, I’ve had them in my head for a month now and they’re un manageable, pretty much done. I went to see another hair stylist and she told me it was half real half synthetic, and feels like it. Quite disappointed for the price, and price augmentation for the second time I went.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called the salon to book appointment to get my hair dreaded and braided. I came in for a consultation to show them the style I was looking for. Later that week I came in for my appointment they booked me and they said they didn’t know I was coming in. After waiting an hour there was a new girl there from Japan learning how to do black hair who was assigned to do my hairstyle. My hair came out looking nothing like what I asked for and I was charged almost $700!

I’ve been coming here for over a year and a bit now but I never need to go anywhere else. It’s such an amazing establishment and the people there are simply wonderful and masters of their craft! They also have a wide range of products as well. If you need something done, take my word and choose Afro Hair.

We went in for a consultation Wednesday, and we were back there that Friday. It was estimated that the appointment would take 2 hours, but she was done in a little over 1 hour.
The braids stayed in and looked amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
