A call for servicing means no quote and a bill that exceeds the value of the central vacuum. Beware.

GREAT PRODUCT! GREAT SERVICE! Just purchased my forth ELECTROLUX from Karim, love the newest central vacuum model.Karim managed to have it installed in one day, loved the service as always. We purchased our first ELECTROLUX portable vacuum in 1984 from Karim and it still works great. When we built a new home almost 30 years ago we had a ELECTROLUX built in system installed then, since then we had two more systems installed by ELECTRLOLUX for two more homes we built.Just wanted to acknowledge the great product and service we get from the owner(Karim) everytime. We always try to support the small business.

CAUTION! When they say they are the "original Electrolux repair shop" they mean the original brand and only for models from 1924 to 2003. They are NOT a Beam Electrolux repair shop, and even if your vacuum is new and still under warranty they will not tell you. Since they say they are the Electrolux authorised repair shop, I called them when my vacume stopped working. They tried to tell me that our 3 year old Electrolux Beam (that comes standard with a 15 year warranty) was too expensive to repair and tried to sell me an $800 replacement. They SHOULD have told me that it needed to go to the BEAM authorised repair shop.

We wanted to share our great experience dealing with this company, We initially purchased our vacuum from Vacuum Centre almost 20 years ago.Recently the vacuum started overheating so my wife took it to different vacuum store because it was it closer to our home.Bad idea! We were told right away that the vac needs a new motor and it will cost almost $400 with labour or a new one for $700. We thought perhaps we should take it to The Vacuum Centre to get there opinion. The owner who sold us the machine 20 yrs was still working there, he runs the vacuum and says the vac getting hot because the hose was plugged and the motor was totally fine. He unplugged the hose while we waited and NO CHARGE! HE EVEN PUT NEW BAG AND FILTER, AGAIN NO CHARGE,says to us `HAPPY VACUUMING` .GREAT SERVICE !!!

Buyer Beware I really don't like to leave negative reviews, but I feel this story should be told and others can make up their own minds about being a customer at this store. My Story: Between 2 and 3 years ago I was in the market for a new vacuum cleaner.. one that would last more than 2 or 3 years! I had tried a Dyson but found it hard to keep clean - bought it at Costco and returned it within the timeframe. My understanding was that many hotel chains use Electrolux because they last and can be repaired. I ended up at this shop. In the end we purchased an upright model that we were told "had been re-possessed". We paid about $800 for the machine. Then a few weeks ago the cover over where you put in the bags and which necessary to seal the unit came loose.. Specifically the bottom part of the hinge came loose from what fastened the top cover from the body of the bag holder assembly. When I looked at the bottom plate it appeared to me that it had been previously "fixed" with some glue or silicone putty.. hmmmm. (see attached picture.. you can see the previously broken screw holes in the black plastic and the silicone or glue that was used to fill it.) I took the machine back to Aerus Electrolux. I was told they were "unsure if it could be repaired" but they would investigate and get back within 3 or 4 days. After a week passed, I called and was told the owner would have to speak to me and he would be in on Monday. On Monday I waited until 10 am.. called in and the call was returned quickly by the owner. He said the parts were available but would take some time to arrive and the cost would be over $200 for parts and with labour and supplies we were talking in the $500 range. He felt it would be better for me to get a factory reconditioned vacuum that he just happened to get in for about the same price. I came in and he went over it again and said because it was "factory reconditioned" it would have a 2 year warranty. He could not produce the terms of this warranty but he wrote "2 year warranty" on the receipt. But when he started talking about "abuse" I protested and said that the vacuum I had brought in had not been repaired properly. He did not want to address this. He also told me that the vacuum he was offering was newer than mine. I took it home. I examined it more carefully. It was filthy inside. Hard to believe it was factory reconditioned. Compared to my old model it was missing a handle to make it easy to carry and the cord was shorter which would be inconvenient. I looked up Electrolux models on the internet and found this model was only manufactured until 1998.. hmm.. not so new either. I returned to discuss this situation with the owner…. He started showing me pictures of canister models (I have an upright) telling me all the models were really the same.. sorry, not the issue. I told him that I was unwilling to give up and not repair something I had paid $800 for just a few years ago, partially because it was repairable and reliable. So I wanted to return the dirty 1998 model and take back my machine. Now he told me that the parts to repair mine were not even available.. WHAT?? And he started offering me other β€œdeals” on different machines (all requiring even more money, of course). I then went from repair shop to repair shop and was finally told to try Global Vacuums on Burnside as he had parts. In fact they do have the parts and I got the machine fixed, with a new cover, new roller, new interior filter and totally cleaned and beautiful for about $160. (I also took a look at his reconditioned Electrolux uprights and they looked better and were priced better) Bottom line... buyer beware on β€œdeals” at Aerus.. they are not always what they are represented to be.

DO NOT RECOMMEND !! My wife called them to service our existing system. Karim the owner came to house, said the pipes were clear and our existing system was very poor and needed replacing. $2224.30 later... The installer [a very nice man] completed the install, came to test, said " you have a blocked pipe" 5 mins later he cleared the pipe !!! I called Karim the owner, he stated he does not check pipes, just "sells new systems" Got very defensive and angry at me. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND !!

Great service on a long weekend! We moved into our new home (20 year old house),wanted to clean the house before our furniture arrives. The central Vacuum in the house would not suck! We called the Electrolux store on Douglas street almost closing time to see if we could have the vacuum fixed ASAP,the owner was kind enough to stop by after hours to do service call, took the Vac into the shop fixed and just installed it,All in 24hrs on Easter Good Friday! Vac works great! This is good old fashioned service, sorely lacking in today’s business!Truly appreciate.

Electrolux Brand TAKE NOTE of who is representing your name****** Was shocked at the rudeness from the man on the phone. I've been an Electrolux owner since 2003 (vacuum and shampooer) and love their quality. Decided not to take my in-person business here after two phone calls. On the first call, he told me he had a customer so he'd call me back. He never did. Called again a few days later to see if he could help me. Again, he said he'd call me back as he had a customer. I was not able to receive a call back in a short while so I explained that (in a casual voice). I was about to suggest that I'd call him when I next got a chance and he rudely said , "Fine then, I won't call" and he hung up. I stared at my phone for a few seconds. I wondered why that man is permitted to represent the Electrolux name. How does he treat in-person customers?
