When you walk into Acquired Taste Tea Shop, you enter a world of warm greetings and an array of teas to satisfy your palate and set your mood. Rows of classic steel canisters contain the finest and freshest teas from all over the world. The aroma from hundreds of tea samples in little glass jars will delight your senses and entice you to refresh your spirit with a cup, or two, of tea. Friendly, knowledgeable staff are ready to help you explore black teas, fruit teas, morning teas, afternoon teas, and teas for all occasions.
Acquired Taste, established in 1996, is a tea shop with the finest traditional loose leaf and packaged teas, caters to the gourmet drinker, the adventurer, and the novice. Our shelves hold classic Polish Pottery, finely crafted traditional Japanese teapots, tea cozies, artful containers, and all manner of fun and traditional tea accessories.
When at home after a busy day, with a cup of tea the connoisseur's taste buds will be sated, while the novice will feel as though having set sail on a new adventure - full of the wonder and great taste of a really good cup of tea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The shop is absolutely adorable, for starters. So many different selections of tea and there are also some really beautiful tea sets for sale. There is local artwork for sale on the walls which is wonderful to see. But of course, the tea is the main attraction.
These are legitimately the best teas I've ever had. I recently picked up some "Lord Grey", "Black Currant", and "Strawberry Rooibos". The quality and flavor of the teas is so fantastic, no hints of weird bitterness or the blah, blandness that tea sometimes has when it's not good quality. The lady behind the counter was also kind enough to throw in a free sample of another tea that I had asked about. Seriously, please visit this shop if you love tea, we NEED to keep them in business!! And if you love flavors of lemon and vanilla, may I recommend the "Lord Grey" tea!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just ordered for the first time. I ordered Irish Breakfast and Earl Grey. Both are delicious, fresh and aromatic. They are also advertising supporters of CKUA and I appreciate this! The online ordering was easy and the curbside pickup easy too. The little free sampler they inluded is a lovely touch. So much to like!

My favourites include: jasmine pearl, glenora breakfast blend, milk oolong and lady gray.

Hands down best in Edmonton. I've been to stores in a few other cities as well and none compare.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delivery is quick. Only have to wait 2 days to get you're tea. Tea is high quality and never a disappointment. Website is easy to use and tea descriptions help pick a new tea flavor. Every tea order comes with a small packet of tea you probably havent tried yet which is a bonus. In every order there is a semi personalized note hand written from one of the staff, which is the cherry on top. Highly recommend ?.

I really enjoy how much the staff know about all the different high-quality teas, and are able to provide recommendations based on others that I’ve had and enjoyed. And their online service is equally great! Shipping was quick, and I liked the extra touch of the nice card and packaging. (P.S.
