★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice restaurant! They have been open for just a few months so please visit. Good was excellent but service was even better! Everyone was polite and attentive and explained the menu well. First time at an Ethiopian restaurant, it did not disappoint!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time having Ethiopian food. The raw ground beef plate with cheese was fresh but a bit too sour for me, but my boyfriend liked it. The roasted beef was very flavourful with many veggies. The waitress was really nice and brought extra chickpeas when I was suffering from the jalapeño heat ?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hope more people find out about this place. If you’re new to Ethiopian cuisine, this is a good place to start.
I’ve tried godin t`ibs, beré t`ibs, and atikilt beyaynetu so far. Sometimes they offer a half size portion for godin t`ibs, so if you’re a party of 2, ask if they do that on the day you go. It’s the best!
Atikilt beyaynetu is a veggie platter. A huge portion. I order this every time I go. This is a must-try dish at Abyssinia.
Also, don’t forget to enjoy the Ethiopian ceremony coffee. Nothing special when it comes to the taste of it, but it’s fun! Something you’d like if you’re on a date or with kids.
I would give 5 stars for the food, but the wait time (for food) is way too long every time I go. They definitely need more servers.
If you’re in a hurry, don’t bother. If you have a plenty of time for lunch or dinner and want to try something different, please visit this hidden gem in midtown!

Who didn't try this amazing restaurant yet? Okay then, I highly recommend you go for it. Server, she is so kind, and explains well with good smile. Okay! What is the most important thing when you visit restaurant? Answer is foods eh?! No worries! Guarantee! Foods are amazing! So fresh, good flavor, even plating looks beautiful.
