★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both my husband and I had severe food poisoning. I'm better today but he is still suffering from the effects. I had the Chicken BLT in a lettuce wrap, onion rings and water. He had a Grandpa Burger (which wasn't as they added some weird sauce to it) in a lettuce wrap and a cold poutine. We believe it was from the lettuce not being washed properly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When McDonalds across the street doesn't have food or is closed, you can always count on this A&W to come in clutch and give you what you want. Their food is always fresh and hot, but they consistently mess up special instructions when you request them.
UPDATE: went to this restaurant at around 3:15AM and the food was great. They just didn't give straws for drinks or forks for poutine. I stand behind the 4 stars.

Brilliant marketing because now I won't drink the competitions. Product confidence is best recognized by actually selling the "real deal".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been frequenting A&W for a couple of weeks because of the $1. coffee. They're doing this to attract customers, but at the same time, they're also exposing how far below the industry standard their restaurants are. Today, with 2 cars ahead of me it took 3 full minutes before my order was even taken, then another 6 minutes until I received my single cup of coffee. Extremely slow service is standard. Also, the coffee at the Princess and Sir John A location is so inconsistent and sloppily prepared, I've stopped going there unless there is little other choice. Their $1. coffee promotion is great, but the coffee is terrible about 50% of the time. Grounds, burned, and never the same amount of cream. Also, they consistently only fill a "large" to about 2 cm from the top. 5mm is pretty good amount of space to the top 20 mm or even more is under filling the cup.
The staff are friendly though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic burger, hot, fresh and extremely good tasting. The overnight staff (the young man specifically) was absolutely amazing. We used a coupon for a two for one deal and everything was fantastic.
