My name is Derek Corse and I have been an educator for 8 years. I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in CTS: Business, Administration, Finance & Information Technology, and a minor in English. My passion for life-long learning is what propelled me to return to school and fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher. I graduated from Walden University in August 2020, with a Master’s in Teacher Leadership. My Master’s program stimulated my passion and drive for life-long learning, and as a result, I am finishing my first year of a PhD program; which focuses on virtual learning environments. I’m a teaching professional who encourages academic excellence, initiates self-confidence, and independent thinking across the student population. I am skilled at developing and implementing stimulating lesson plans. I am a team player who develops and maintains a strong rapport with students, parents, and faculty. During my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, swim, and rollerblade. I love to travel, and the most interesting place I have been to, so far, was Greece.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to this establishment for all five of my tests. The staff is great! Establishment is super clean and quite during your tests. Over all my whole experience with them as been awesome!
To the lady at the desk that always greeted me with a smile and remembered my face. Thank you! For believing in me and making most of my anxiety melt away!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having seriously been injured in a motor vehicle accident involving a fatality over a year ago, I was requested by my case worker to upgrade my basically nonexistent computer skills. I have completed two levels of Microsoft office and a typing tutorial. Along with this I was tutored in customer service skills with Peter Hamann, who was a great inspiration in this endeavor. His ability to be able to adapt various situations and respect my input was incredibly valuable as a learning strategy. I must say though in all due fairness that each and every tutor as well as the coordinators in the office are extremely talented individuals. I would recommend that anyone in need of upgrading or new skill sets should definitely reach out to this organization.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wasn't sure what to expect but the the experience was really good. The staff are friendly and helpful and the exam spaces are quiet, clean, and private. If I had any complaint it would be having to remove my shoes but that is pretty minor all things considered. Would definitely recommend if you need an exam proctored.

Everyone was friendly, the place was clean and organized, and the exam-taking experience was comfortable and straight-forward. And yes, I would probably have said all of that even if I had failed my exam.

I had helpful interactions with everybody, ranging from my tutor to administrative staff, like Karen and Maria, and I recommend A&D to any adult seeking upgrading.

Starting from the lovely lady at the reception who was very polite and knowledgeable about the entire test to the person who helped us with the IELTS Academic Test, everything was taken care of very well. The other positive points are how neat this place including the washrooms, the car parking which is of great convenience, and the quiet atmosphere helped me focus on the test. Highly highly recommend going here for courses or taking tests. Thank you for the pleasant experience A & D Tutoring.
