They were great. They provided the product I needed & were able to connect me another company that specializes in servicing my particular personal sewing machine.

This is definitely the best place to get the sewing equipment you need! The owner is more than fair and very helpful. When he says there is warranty on your machines he's not kidding. He went out of his way to make sure I had a part I needed and had it delivered to Calgary. Then he checked in with me to make sure I got the part and everything was working. He treats you like family when you're there . I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. And I'll be going there for all my machine needs.

I strongly suggest against supporting this hypocritical, bullying, and discriminatory business. The young woman working at the time of my visit should be ashamed of herself.

I purchased a lightly used (almost new) industrial machine last fall and it turned out the machine had been sold to the previous owner by Amir. I did a couple of projects over the winter and I thought the machine performed reasonably well but it did lack in some areas from what I had expected. In June however, I noticed that when I put the stitch length over 5 there were some real issues and the machine was "balking" and less than one could hope for. I talked briefly to Amir and brought the machine in for him to have a look at it. Initially, we were just going to an inspection and adjustment to cure the problem but I decided to go for a full service instead since the difference in price is minimal when compared to the cost of the machine and new parts. Amir had the machine for about a week. When I went to pick it up he told me that there were a lot of things that had required attention and it appeared that someone, possibly the previous owner, had been busy making their own adjustments without knowing what they were doing. I got the machine home and was very pleasantly surprised when I went to test it. You see, I had taken a Volkswagen into Amir's shop and he had given me a Ferrari back. The stitch lengths are bang on, there are no more dropped stitches, the stitch reverse works better than it ever did, and the machine is far more smoother running and has more "punch" for heavy or multiple layer fabrics than it ever did. Would I ever use Amir's services again? In a New York minute! Would I recommend his services to others? Most definitely. As we all know, in this day and age of single use throw away items and poor customer service at best, we have been conditioned to accept second rate workmanship and be happy with it. Amir is a pleasant surprise. He is a true craftsman who knows his business and I would trust him to fix any machine I own.

They were able to give my grandmother's old Kenmore sewing machine some major TLC and fix a timing issue. Very responsive with email and provided prompt service at a very good price. Everyone was helpful and the shop is so cute! I would most definitely recommend A.B. Sewing Machine Repairs and I will be back when my machine needs some more TLC :) Thank you so much - the machine is working like a dream!
