A welcoming environment and excellent attention from Gina who was kind and efficient in explaining the results of her Eye Examination. My problem was that on arrival I was told that the full cost of the eye examination was not covered by OHIP and that an additional $45 payment was required. I had not been advised of this when I made my appointment. I pointed out that most other Ophthalmologists accepted the OHIP coverage in full payment and I was told that was not their policy. After further discussion they waived the additional $45 charge but told me I would have to pay next time. But I will not be back.

Dr Baraam was extremely professional, down to earth and knowledgeable and took his time to answer any questions I had. The staff inside are very helpful and courteous too.

All of the staff here are extremely pleasant, kind and patient. They take the extra time to fully listen to the concerns of those who come to them and give out thoughtful solutions.

My eye exam was great. Post appointment follow-up and service not so much. They are not quick with their communicate at all. I had to follow up to get my prescription. Dropped telephone calls also did not make for a pleasant experience. They also closed on weekends which makes it difficult if you are working.

Doctor Sam Baraam is an Iraqi background who is among many in Optometrists businesses. Dr. Baraam is extremely concerned about his own privacy but when it comes to his private practice he easily wants to take your personal information. As soon as I arrived they didn't ask me if I had an appointment instead, Nicole the person in front, directed me to the dental clinic around the corner. They asked for some personal information that had nothing to do with the type of service they provide, such as your home address, your birthday, or even your email address. Since I declined at the beginning to give my personal information, I told them that I was okay if they billed me directly on the spot. But not only do they bill me on the spot but also they claimed with my insurance on my behalf that I clearly asked them not to do because I am going to do it with the insurance provider myself. anyway, they ignored me they got their fee and claimed it with the insurance without my authorization. Nicole is an Optician works there that clearly she doesn't know how to 1. treat you with dignity and respect. 2. Obtain your informed consent prior to providing health care services. 3. Obtain your written consent to send your electronic claim to your insurance provider. Nicole sought my personal information aggressively even before I see the doctor she reported me to the doctor. how respectful as a new patient. Nicole charged my credit card and Lilly the receptionist is claiming with the insurance provider at the same time. I have clearly asked them either charge the fee on the spot or claim with the insurance but not both. Unfortunately, they applied both, charging my credit card on spot, and claiming the insurance without my authorization in the same time. I told the doc how I was treated at the beginning and I wished the doc take some kind of action to stop the staff's unfriendly and unprofessionalism but nothing and the rude behavior happen again in the end. I believe the core of the responsibility is on doctor Baraam shoulders, however, he was professional enough to apologize for the shortcoming today of his staff's lack of training and professionalism. overall, they were acting paranoid and overreacted if they were getting paid. with what I experienced today will I go back again to the Dr. Baraam eye clinic? sorry never again.
