ZILFORD’S FRIED CHICKEN - Calgary
Zilford's was born in an effort to unite Calgarians with the delicious flavours and textures of Nashville hot chicken (a southern staple; fried chicken covered in a fiery coating, served atop white bread with crunchy pickles). We believe the beautiful dichotomy of tasty chicken and the searing heat that accompanies it is too great not to share with our city.
After a year of recipe testing in a 500 square foot apartment and subjecting our friends to many a trial and error, we locked down the ZFC recipe, bought a truck, named it Jazzabel, wrapped her up and set out across YYC in 2017 to share our flavours with the streets.
At Zilford's quality is paramount; We brine our chicken for a minimum of 12 hours to ensure juicy meat covered in a crunchy crust. We hope you share the same enthusiasm as us about hot chicken and dare you to try to keep up with the heat we've been bringing since.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped in today for lunch and were blown away. I had the chicken sandwich which was amazing. I’m definitely returning to try the chicken and waffles soon. On top of great food the service is awesome and the whole place it super clean and tidy. 6 stars ⭐️ For sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ $23 for a sandwich, Mac n cheese and a can of coke. Although the sandwich didn’t taste bad. There is more chicken on a 5 cent wing. And 2 spoonfuls of Mac n cheese. My 80lb 9yrold was still hungry. $100 for a family of 4 off a food truck. Disappointing

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to the restaurant with great expectations on the Nashville fried chicken. However, the sandwich and the burger was average and not upto the mark. Their coconut tofu tacos was awesome though.
After addressing our concern to the restaurant owner, they were professional and kind to refund the money. My 4 star review goes exclusively to the management in this regard.
Hopefully we have a better experience next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the Chicken Sammie and it is one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever found in Calgary, and I've been trying a lot of them. Our family also had chicken tenders and popcorn chicken, both of which we highly recommend as well. Friendly staff & fantastic food!

Very impressed! Well seasoned, the sauce was obviously hand made, chicken was cooked to perfection. 10 out of 5 stars!
