About YWCA Regina
The YWCA Regina’s mission is to support the diverse needs of women in the realization of their full potential. One of the largest YWCA’s in Canada, the YWCA Regina came into existence in 1910 and is the only multi-service women’s organization in the city. Our organization employs approximately 250 people, served over 7000 women and children in 2018, and plans to build a $35-million facility in the near future. The proposed Centre for Women and Families will be a community hub focused on working with vulnerable women and children before crisis to reduce the number of people needing our shelters.
The YWCA Regina’s Board of Directors is a governance board made up of directors with a wide range of skill sets from a variety of backgrounds. For the upcoming term, we are seeking directors who are women with legal, risk assessment, finance and accounting expertise and that represent the community that the YWCA serves. We encourage people from diverse backgrounds to put themselves forward for consideration as a board member. Of particular interest are those who are new to Canada, members of a visible minority, under 30 years of age, members of the LGBTQ+ community, members of the Indigenous community, and people with varying abilities. The YWCA Regina is committed to inclusion in all matters and will consider for nomination any person who is passionate about women’s issues in our community. Women with an interest in serving on the Board of Directors are encouraged to review the Overview of Board Member Responsibilities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very large, and well run daycare. The caregivers/teachers there are compassionate and patient with children. Meal plans, outings and activities are well prepared most days. My child attended this daycare for 6years, and took really well to a few of the teachers over that time. The place is clean and orderly. I highly recommend this daycare.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their staff is really good but reason for this low rating is the atmosphere around. Young kids get exposed to smoke all around and at the entrance of building. They should do more to restrict fellow members from smoking around when young hearts at play.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just moved here as a resident and i love the staff have been fantastic, great and personable staff, if ever u need a helping hand or just wanna talk the YWCA is the best place to be, i love that i can have my own personal space and its quiet. This is my second time coming back to the YWCA as a resident and has been an awesome place, so a big thank you to the YWCA AND STAFF for providing a comfortable and safe enviroment for all the women.

The place didn't seem very clean and reeked of lingering smoking smell all around the building.People were smoking right outside the door, not even caring kids are going in and out. The toys and furniture's are abused and well past their lifetime. The space is big, I only wish it was well taken care of too. Sorry to say, I wouldn't put my child there if there is other option available in the same budget ( which there is )
