★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very disappointed. I specifically asked for a short trim around half an inch to clean up the ends and that I want to keep the longer length. I took 6 months to get my hair length to my bra line level. Yi Ling kept saying we need to cut more and it will still be long. She ended up cutting about 5 inches off. Furthermore, she made one side uneven, it was longer by an inch. I told her right away, but she was rushing to the next client and said it looks leveled. I left and when I got home, I took selfies and also showed people, my hair was indeed uneven. I had to make another trip to get it fixed. She left all the clients' hairs on the floor and serviced me, which is quite unappealing. Now I have to wait for my hair to grow back to the preferred length. I am unhappy with this poor experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yiling is super nice and friendly as is her husband who helps run the salon. Her prices are very reasonable. I love her recommendations. I get cut and color/highlights and she does a great job. She also always manages to squeeze a cut in for my partner. I highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there for my first time and I really enjoyed it! I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Calgary. I have very long, thick Asian hair and Martin washed it very nicely and we had a nice conversation. Then Yiling cut my hair (didn't really describe what style I wanted, just length and light layers) and the whole cut is super cute, face faming, even, and the layers are well blended - not choppy at all! I was a little nervous to try a new hairdresser but I'm beyond satisfied. I would recommend! About 45 min for wash and cut! Owners are super sweet and we had a nice conversation!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am very disappointed in my haircut. I went to Yi ling in hopes for a good haircut and I walked out very sad and on the verge of tears because of the haircut. I wanted a certain hairstyle and she said she could make it work and then after 20 mins, she told me the hairstyle is very hard to do because of my hair type. I was told in the beginning that the hairstyle was gonna work for me but her words changed midway and there was no turning back. My hair was already cut and I felt so disappointed but unable to say anything. I do not recommend going to her if you want more than a trim. Her tools are also very dirty, it made my head itch and got a lot of red bumps as a result.
