β β β β β What an amazing place. I see why it has the reputation it does. The quality of the 10+ dishes were impressive and the service offered by the staff was equally great. Some of the dishes just melt so elegantly in your mouth and there's nothing quite like that. Definitely a place to try if you want a solid omakase experience.

β β β β β An enchanting experience for your tastebuds. I was blown away by the texture, flavour and attention to detail of each dish of this 17-course meal. The price is actually reasonable for the quality and experience, especially compared to other Omakase in Toronto / Markham.
My only nitpicks would be the 3x markup on sake and the fact that itβs sushi only. By the last few pieces I was full and the rice began to dominate the palate.

We came here to celebrate a birthday and couldnβt have asked for anything better. The service is excellent and the food is a new experience. Our chef, Tom, was clearly an expert in his field and with a great personality to match! I suggest getting the sake pairing for the full experience.

β β β β β My girlfriend took me to Yasu for my birthday and it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had this year.
During the 17 course meal, we had plenty of time to witness the chefs' craftsmanship in front of us, enjoy the unique flavors and textures in each dish, as well as have talk about anything and everything.
In our busy lives, we rarely have time or energy to spend quality time with each other. Yasu provides an opportunity for people to have both an excellent dining experience and enjoy each other's company.

β β β β β For how much it costs, I was expecting something more than just very good quality fish and excellently prepared rice. For better or for worse, most of the dishes are reasonably traditional sushi, perhaps with the occasional unusual garnish. Overall, the menu plays extremely safely and I rarely felt challenged or that I was eating something novel and unique.
If you're looking for a very good but unexciting experience, this restaurant may be for you. If you're looking for creativity, go elsewhere.
For a meal that costs almost $200/person after tax and tips, I was disappointed.

β β β β β Five star service. My boyfriend booked Yasu for my Birthday celebration, this was my first Omakase experience. I enjoyed it immensely. Presentation was exquisite, along with serverβs explanation of every type of sushi and region it comes from.
Highly recommend to try sake paring. Not cheap , but you get high quality fish, freshly prepared and memorable authentic Japanese experience.

β β β β β Great experience! The food was unique and delicious, with two main categories of fish:
1. exotic delicacies that I've never had before, like monkfish liver (I won't spoil any other surprises for you!)
2. fish that I've had before, like scallops, but so much better as if to be another fish.
The service was generally good. Some room for improvement here.
The general atmosphere was enticing and appealing.
Would recommend it to any sushi lovers!

Iβm still reeling from the excitement of that meal. I highly recommend you go if youβre reading these reviews trying to decide.
Every single piece of food eaten was an entire experience, the textures and tastes were so unique. The food was unbelievably fresh and hand crafted with so much care.
The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive.
An incredible experience, took my dad for his birthday and he couldnβt stop smiling. An absolute pleasure I am looking so forward to being back.
