I only go to desert kitchen for toonie Tuesday but their soft serve is amazing. The vanilla is so much better then anywhere else and their special flavours are insane. The oolong and milk tea have been my two favourites. I do wish the portion sizes were a little larger and more consistent but it’s still amazing and can’t wait for the next flavour

This place is a small little dessert place with a giant menu ranging from ice cream to glutinous rice to waffles to food. The service was quite nice and the food pretty good too. The Earl Grey ice cream was delicious although the waffle was a little crispier than I would've liked. A good place to hang out with friends and get some dessert of all types. :)

This was my first time here and I was drawn here by the marshmallow bears and cats that I saw in the coffee. I ended up getting the Hong Kong tea. It was tea mixed with some milk and it was very very ggo. I also got an Oreo cookie shake. I wasn't disappointed. The workers were also very friendly. Great spot.

Great selection of beautifully presented desserts for a very reasonable price. There was a small hiccup that the mango sago did not taste fresh. When I brought it up to the server, she handled it very professionally by replacing the order and offering to take it off the bill. The new sago was top notch. Will definitely come back to try the iced desserts when it's warmer.

Ovaltine soft serve is really good. Looks like a good place for late night dessert. I want to come back and try other items on the menu (menu is huge and has savoury snack foods like Taiwanese popcorn chicken, too). They were only open for take out when I went but hopefully next time will be open for dine-in. Looks cute inside and they have a patio. Debit and cash only.

Desserts here were delicious. I really enjoyed their sundaes and panna cotta. Each sundae flavour comes with different toppings. I tried the Winter of Love sundae ($8.99) which came with corn flakes, chewy rice balls, fresh mangos, vanilla ice cream and a scoop of earl grey ice cream to top it off. All these combinations made for a luxurious and sweet dessert! Their egg waffle however was disappointing and underwhelming for me. I got the Durian Egg Waffle which consist of an egg waffle, a scoop of durian ice cream and some fruits. The durian ice cream itself tasted artificial, egg waffle was dry, presentation was lacking and portion was small for $10.99. I'd advise to skip out on the egg waffles as it wasn't worth it in my opinion. Side note, they only accept cash and debit!

I’m so disappointed at my whole experience at The Dessert Kitchen at the downtown location. First of all, the presentation of the ice cream is just pretty bad, looks nothing like the picture and the ice cream is pretty much half melted. The taste of the ice cream wasn’t even that good. My friend and I ordered the mango fever and black and white (sesame flavour). They’re both vanilla ice cream with some mango and sesame in the middle. To be honest, McDonald ice cream taste better than this. Furthermore, the price is just not reasonable, for an $8 ice cream, I expect so much more than half melted vanilla ice cream. The cup is also unreasonably designed, you can’t scope the bottom, so technically when you reach 3/4 of the cup, you can choose to either drink the melted ice cream, or you want to eat more elegantly, you just stop eating. Maybe the take out containers are more convenient and you get more out of an $8 ice cream. In conclusion, don’t come here and waste your money.

I LOVED this place! There were so many amazing things that I haven't had before, I highly recommend the glutenous rice balls filled with peanut in the coconut broth, and the strawberry lover but everything here looks so amazing. Service was awesome, very cute for a casual dessert date or out with friends.
