Yamato Sushi

Yet again, the Yamato team has OUTDONE themselves! From the friendly customer service received over the phone, to the excellent kitchen men who prepare these MAGNIFICENT rolls, York Region should be truly in awe. Yamato is truly a one stop shop - great food and great customer service all at a reasonable price. The picture below includes one large party tray, with the two complimentary appetizers (split between 3 people). This portion leaves you full all day. You have come to the RIGHT place if you want to MUCK; would highly recommend the Yam tempura roll and the Scallop roll. Farewell for now, - TL Jr. ;)

We are huge sushi people and have NEVER been disappointed by Yamato!!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our take out experience and food at Yomato. Ordered the assorted sashimi, black dragon roll and gyoza appetizer which all surpassed our expectations. Thank you to the kind staff who took our order and speedy yet careful preparations of our food by the chefs.

Solid choice for sushi in the Newmarket area. Not quite as good as Mi-Ne Sushi close by (that one is a must try), but quality was solid and fish portions were good. Great for large groups.

Without a doubt, the BEST sushi restaurant in the Aurora-Newmarket area! Chef Chang has over 25 years culinary experience - do not let the simple look of this take-out restaurant deceive you! The chef’s long-term experience, his insistence on using the freshest and highest quality of ingredients, and his high-value on customer service results in an amazing sushi experience every single time I order from this restaurant! If you are looking for EXCELLENT sushi in the Newmarket-Aurora area, don’t waste your time on other restaurants. Make sure you order ONLY from Yamato Sushi!!!

Yamato is good for the price, but you get what you pay for. Sushi is really affordable and portions are big, but quality is only one step above grocery store sushi. I would also not recommend their spicy rolls, which have a lot of fried filler in them.
