X-Tile Canada

After hitting probably ALL the major tile shops and then some, we drove by X-Tile and decided to stop in for a look. What a pleasant surprise. They have a lot unique collections of tiles that we couldn't find anywhere else. If you like more European style, post modern / mid century design, patterned tiles, etc. This place is really worth a visit. We ending up scraping all the choices we made elsewhere and bought our tiles here instead. The price is pretty competitive. Leticia the sales lady there was very helpful. She gave us space to browse, ponder, and compared different tiles (and we took a lot of time there laying out the various choices along with our cabinet / countertop samples). We didn't feel pressured at all and yet she was immediately there when we had questions. The manager there Sheila was also very helpful. She ended up saving us money. I was going to order more than I needed. But based on her advise, I ended up saving about 15% since I overestimated what I needed. X-Tile would be my first stop for my next project. Oh, the warehouse guy in the North York location (Signet Dr) was very courteous, careful and helpful. He helped me load everything in my car, secured everything very nicely, and was super polite and courteous. All and all a 5 start experience!

Beautiful large open concept showroom. No pressure sales staff, that were very helpful and accommodating. Lots of options but not to many where you feel overwhelmed. Great pricing and good network of other stores to pull stock from to get most quantities of any product the same day.

I had an excellent experience with this Store. There was a plenty of options for what I was looking for. Lucy helped to find everything. She is amazing! I definitely recommend X-Tile at Dufflaw rd.

“I went to the showroom at Signet. The place is small but had a great selection of tiles in stock which was different from Olympia tile, to where my contractor had sent me. I needed backsplash and kitchen floor tiles and the salesperson was very helpful and patient, even though I had no idea what I was looking for. I was able to purchase beautiful tiles that luckily were on clearance. My kitchen looks great!”

Over the past few years, I have have done several amazing kitchen and bathroom projects with the wonderful and bespoke tiles from X-Tile - Dufflaw. The selection is amazing (they have some really cool and interesting tiles) and the customer service from Lucy and Leticia is professional and exemplary -- they really know their products and have been a pleasure to work with! - THANK YOU!

This summer I needed to renovate both my main bath and powder room. I am the kind of person that if I have to do things, it better be worth it, esp if I am going to spend money on it. I went through all the tile stores around major locations. Found some good options, but not really having that excitement factor in my mind. 3 days before start of renovation, I made a last ditch effort to check out more tiles along Lawrence, visited 2-3 more locations, and nothing. On my way home, I saw and passed by X-tiles, (Dufflaw) and I doubled back. Glad I did. Met Lucy. She was very helpful and grateful for her calm and patience (as I was getting frustrated with not getting that excitement around my project and crunch time.) I cannot say enough great words for her help. I went back to their location each of the next 3 days to finalize my project. Now I can say, YES!!! I am so happy with the outcome of my project, it had the uniqueness I wanted in my washrooms!!!! So happy and grateful with Lucy's guidance and service, SHE CALMED my frustration, so happy that X-Tiles carried the tiles I needed to make very UNIQUE look to my washrooms. I had a very SATISFYING project this summer, every time I visit my washrooms, some ooohhs and ahhhs. LOVE LOVE LOVE the blue skies in my bath, the flowers in the powder room. SO UNIQUE, SO MINE!!!!!! :) Attached are bare pictures of the finished washrooms. Thank you to X-tiles for carrying those special tiles, thank you to the staff, even that person at the back, to Edward and especially Lucy!!! If I have another washroom to renovate I will not hesitate to take more of those tiles. THANK YOU.

A dishonest merchant . I spent more than an hour on a Saturday when they prepared an order. The sales representative, Leticia, was not able to quote the delivery until Monday and suggested to pay the total then. She didn't call on Monday. When I called, she told me that her boss increased the price and thus they would not honor the conditions of their Saturday invoice #104599 (she still didn't know the delivery price). Thus, they reneged on a contract they voluntarily entered just a day ago. Their dishonest behavior had a real cost for me - I spent significant time choosing the merchandise and preparing the contract, and if I knew that X-tile wouldn't be able to stick to terms of the simplest of transactions, I would look for the solutions elsewhere. The invoice for new tiles stipulated that the tiles are sold AS-IS. When I asked to remove this, Leticia told me that that was their standard practice because "...the clients break the tiles when they arrive and then return them". Whatever merchandise you may like there, I suggest to avoid at any cost or as minimum understand the risks of dealing with a dishonest merchant - be ready that they may renege on their contract obligations and that they do not guarantee the quality of their goods. Understand that their sales people take no responsibility for what they say or promise.

I had an excellent experience with the store. The staff (especially Edward and Lucy) were very helpful, patient and accommodating. I checked out a few other tile places and decided to commit to these guys - they had better prices and service.
