We had dealt with a major financial institution for 35 years - multiple mortgages, loans and investments. When we purchased our new home and tried to obtain a mortgage through them - it seemed that they were not interested - told us it would be 3 weeks before we could get an appointment to discuss a mortgage. That is when we found out about Melissa Maclean @ Worry Free Mortgage - and dealing with Melissa was the best experience ever - She was thorough and kept us informed of exactly what was taking place with the mortgage company she had selected - she was there to support us through the stressful times and always responded to any email questions that we had. She made the financial buying of a new house an enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend Worry Free Mortgage and Melissa to anyone who is purchasing a house and requires a mortgage.

I got my first time buyer mortgage through Worry Free Mortgage. It was a great experience to work with Melissa! She is super helpful, very knowledgeable, wise, and has positive energies. The rest of the Worry Free staff I interacted with in the process were also brilliant. Thank you guys very much for the good work and keep it up. I highly recommend Worry Free Mortgage services.

We went to Worry Free Mortgage when we bought our first house and when we renewed. Both times we were extremely happy with their service and support. We worked with Megan on our renewal and were thankful for her. She is incredibly responsive--responding to our emails and questions immediately. She took time to walk with us through the whole process and truly made it simple. She also helped us get a better rate than we could have gotten on our own. I recommend Megan and the Worry Free team to my friends, family, and anyone needing a mortgage or renewal. They're great!

Had a last minute move come together and the team at Worry Free took care of everything I needed, helping me thru the process and getting us a rate that paved the road to our new home and at an affordable cost! Have used them twice now and will be returning the next time I need to adjust/renew my mortgage - no hesitation.

HORRIBLE. I called these guys up when my mortgage was up for renewal. I had a very negative experience with the last broker (not applicable here) and needed someone I could trust. I regret assuming these people had integrity because of where they advertise. Response times were really bad- which was not just a convenience issue. In fact, I had been proposed a deal that I was enthusiastic about but Mike didn't respond to me. In the meantime, the laws for mortgages changed which made the proposal invalid. Laws which he should have been aware of, no? As they say "the wheels of justice grind slowly", laws do not appear overnight, they take time. His response time cost me a great agreement, yes, but that's just the beginning. It was so bad that my mortgage exceeded its contract which meant that the interest rate sky rocketed while "negotiations" dragged on. And by "negotiations" I mean I was continually ignored. I can't remember how long I waited but to paint a picture: I gave the go ahead for the first contract (the desirable one, pre-law change) before my mortgage expired- I ended up paying the inflated mortgage payment outside a contract more than once (though I can't remember how many times). Second, in the original deal I was set to take out some equity so that I could pay for my schooling in cash. This too went down the pipes with the first contract, but the problem had exponential effects because since I planned to receive that money I did not apply for a student loan through traditional channels. This application can take a lot of time to be processed and paid out. When I finally heard the new contract could not include any cash payout, I rushed to apply for loans and was later charged interest because the school didn't receive funds on time. One last downside: in the end, after I paid several (I truly can't remember for how many payments but it was more than once) inflated mortgage payments, did not get the cash for school, took on unexpected loans, and signed an unfavorable agreement... it ended up that they submitted for a flex rate mortgage!! I had 2 clear requests: the lowest payment (good interest rate, long amortization), and a fixed rate plan because I was in school and needed a period of predictability given I had a reduced salary. When I pointed this out the response was "You'll have to call the loan office yourself". I ended up signing for a fixed rate mortgage at an increased rate directly with the lender. I was furious, but I was also desperate... this process backed me into a corner and I couldn't sustain the inflated mortgage payments. I needed a contract. This experience cost me a huge amount of money- money I didn't have as a single student. I cannot sufficiently express my disappointment. What happened utterly gutted me. They didn't care. Not at any point did they care. ***As a cherry on top I received emails for years afterwards, asking if I could send over a copy of my ID because they forgot when they were completing their paperwork. You can't make this stuff up folks. Completely outrageous. No words can express how low my opinion is of this company. I will never trust another company based on who they advertise with again.

Horrible customer service! Melissa was recommended to us, so as first time homebuyers we thought it would be good. But instead she just quit responding to us. And even still haven’t heard. Luckily we got our mortgage with a company who deserve our business! Definitely don’t recommend.

We were so thankful to have Melissa's help as we purchased our first home. She is competent, knowledgeable, and was always readily available-- even on evenings and weekends. She patiently answered all our questions and ultimately helped us purchase a home our family loves! Thank you, Melissa!
