Purchased a grass trimmer. They registered the warranty, filled it with fuel and tested it to make sure it was ready for use. They even threw in a pair of safety glasses. Top notch buying experience.

Horrible - in fact non-existant - customer service. We set up a delivery date before the long Thanksgiving weekend. This to exchange a machine we bought and paid for. At the time of ordering at the store my husband noticed the clerk ordering the non power assist model when we had wanted the power assist. "Oh no, you are wrong, I'm ordering it correctly" Its ready for pick up in a few days so we lug it home - try it out - look thru the manual to find out......surprise, surprise, it was the wrong machine. "Fine, we will come out Tuesday morning after the long weekend and exchange it for the machine you paid for . Give us a call first thing and we'll set up the time." Fine, we call first thing to be told "We are very busy, we will call you right back. Wait til noon and call again. "We're are very busy, he will call you right back" it is now 2pm and no call back. Oh, I get it......the schmuck has already paid us for the thing so he can bloody well wait. NEVER EVER BUY HERE AGAIN.

We went here and we're happy to see they supplied everything a person could possibly want in regards to the project we were undertaking, which was getting firewood. The gentleman in there showed us all of the newer stuff with regards to sharpening chainsaw's etc. We walked out with a whole lot more than we planned on buying and are very happy with everything we've purchased. They were most helpful in there and it is a bright shiny store with an upstairs and lots of goodies to choose from! Definitely will go there again... definitely!

Two weeks ago I bought a new Honda lawn mower top with electric start and paid around $1100 for it. Woodsman also charged me $50 for PDI (pre delivery inspection). I cut my grass 3x over the next few days and I wasn’t happy with the look of the finished result. The grass looked like it was being beaten off rather than a nice clean clear cut. Then I decided to have a close look at the cutting blades of which the mower has two. I couldn’t believe that the blades were not even close to being sharp. I ran my fingers over the edge numerous times with considerable pressure and could not even begin to get the feeling that I could get scratched let alone cut. I removed the blades and put a keen cutting edge on both. I then recut my lawn. The difference was unbelievable. WHAT did I pay $50 for if they didn’t even check to see if the bloody cutting blades were sharp or even close to being sharp. The whole idea of a lawn mower is to actually cut the grass not just beat it to death. $50 to take the mower out of the box, put half a litre of oil and a cup of gas in it is a bit steep I believe. This mower replaced a Honda mower I bought a 1984 and gave excellent service up to this year and so I purchased another Honda. Now the blade is CORRECTLY sharpened it’s great again. I went into the woodsman to tell them about the blade issue and got the song and dance about “that’s the way they come from the factory”. I told them if that’s the way they come then your business had better start sharpening them on their”PDI” because I can’t be the only new buyer that is not satisfied with the cutting results. I didn’t even get a sorry or anything close to it. Very poor customer relations. I won’t be buying anything else at the “Woodsman” I live in Blind Bay where there’s a lot of retirees who are always buying new yard tools and I won’t be recommending the “Woodsman”. All I needed was a sorry and that they will ensure they check and sharpen the blades.

I purchased my Husky ride on mower and chainsaw from Woodsman, both times had a positive experience with the sale staff. They helped me determine which units were right for me as it was my first lawn tractor and first chainsaw. I never felt like I asked a "stupid question" even though I had minimal knowledge on the products. Reading a few of the bad reviews on here makes me wonder if these people even went to the store they are reviewing, I've had my saw and mower in for service and each time the service was fast and as promised. They went over the services and charges with me and gave me a few tips on things I should do to extended the life of my equipment. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE and very much appreciated. Thank you Woodsman, nice to have a shop i can go to locally.

Great guys here great to work with and as a woman in the industry they are NOT patronizing nor unfair anytime I deal with them.. . Just an awesome get it done team I do own a forestry business and we only come to Woodsman for all our business needs after checking out the rest!! We thank you guys for all you do to support us in our work!

Hope this gets to owners Tried yesterday to contact,4 times on hold for 15 minutes plus.ok busy left number no return. Today tried again next day left number no return call. Quess they do not need my business. Have bought a couple saws there so not new to there business Quess i should try another sthil business for service

I had the most unpleasant experience there. Brought a Honda snowblower that needed a shear bolt replaced, (but I did not know that), they said it needed new parts, kept it for over a month, did a tune up that I did not authorize ( it had had a tuneup this fall) inflated the invoice to $600.! They never once called me, I had to call repeatedly to get an update, All it needed was a sheer bolt, a $6 part. A fiend of mine had the same experience. Got stuck with a $900 repair bill, kept his machine for weeks and grossly misquote the estimate.
