M	Ms. Palmer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the nursing staff is kind to residents in this home, others are rude. The director does not seem to be very open when having family discussions and when family members inquire about specific health care options or needs for their loved one's, it seems you talk to a brick wall even after being told time and time again, that this resident has requested that family members be involved in their care. I have found on several of my visits to this ederly populated home that there are not enough staff to cater to the needs of all these residents when they are having "free time" between meals and activities. A few residents have randomly been going through the hallways and into wrong rooms, confused yet certain that they are the correct rooms. I was about to leave one day and a lady in a wheelchair was yelling down the hall for a nurse so she could use the washroom and after a couple minutes, i came from down the hall, where I was visiting with my family member, to bring this woman back to her room so she can use the washroom. No nurses were to be found and it was around 3:30 in the afternoon. When inquiring about upcoming doctors appointments, I have been getting the wrong times, put on hold or hung up on. This is a great place to visit if you want to volunteer to help out. As for moving in.. I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy and luckily, my family member is only there temporarily.

He's very happy about life here and when given the opportunity to move to a facility closer to home, he refused. As well, he has a friend on his ward who is also well in mind, just not in body and this person always tells us how deeply appreciative they are for the care given. I've had all positive experience too.
L	Lori Oschefski on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family cannot express deeply enough our gratitude for the the wonderful and professional care our Mother received at Woods Park Care Center, not only in her years as a resident in retirement but in her final days in their long term care. Every need of Mom's was met with their professional and caring team. They were attentive, present, caring, answered all questions and allowed us to make decisions and participate in Mom's care to the end. Not one single time did we feel she was not receiving the best care ever. Mom's wish was to spend her final days at Woods Park, a place she consider home and her extended family. We were welcome to stay with our Mother as long as we needed to and therefore were able to be there when she passed. Karen, you and your team are a blessing to our elderly.

It is poorly run and staff clearly either don't care or don't have time to properly care for residents. The level of ineptitude and inefficiency is staggering. There is a serious lack of care and neglect within this facility. Do your research and do not place a loved one in Woods Park.

Sometimes (most of the time) they have no education on how to complete these cares at all! Not to mention the residents have to pay for these services. I would also like to include how absolutely toxic working here is. Wish I could give less than one star
b	brenda marson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot Think of a better place than Woods Park for my mom who is living with dementia to live her last years. They have gone above and beyond for my mom, the staff that takes care of her I could not ask for better and caring people, they know all my mom‘s likes and dislikes down to cutting the crust off her bread. I would not want her to be any place else, and I am so thankful to have them all from the office staff to the kitchen staff maintenance staff PSW’s and nurses I know she is in very good hands and is safe and that helps me sleep at night thank you Woods Park love you all

My father spent 16 days there in isolation, very little care, lost a lot of weight and was neglected other than family going in to help. The staff, and especially the director, Phillip, do not care. They are rude and dismissive. We got different answers from different people. My father was in isolation for 7 days and then tested positive for covid. Luckily he had no symptoms and after 16 days of hell we removed my father and brought him back home. Best decision we ever made. Never, ever put a loved one in Woods Park. Animals are treated better than the people living here. Staff do no care. Please stay away.
