About Lumsden & District Heritage Home

The Lumsden & District Heritage Home is a municipally owned long-term care home that was built in 1987. The nationally accredited Home is affiliated and receives funding from the Saskatchewan Health Authority while retaining its ownership and governance structure.

The municipal owners include the Towns of Lumsden and Regina Beach, the Villages of Craven, Bethune, Dilke, Disley, Holdfast and Silton and the RM’s of Dufferin, Lumsden, Pense and Sarnia.

The Heritage Home provides 24 hour professional nursing and supportive care for 30 permanent residents. We also provide Adult Day Support Programming for as many as 5 individuals on each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Three days each week, the Home supplies meals for the Senior Meal Program which is served out of the Lumsden Park Manor on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

?Wednesday, July 3, 2019 •Always caring for what is best for each individual, •professional, •good to famililies, •let’s elementary students, [with supervising teachers], visit too about 1 or 2 times per week and do activities with the residents that are wanting to be doing that. •Beautiful, well kept maintenance of all of the spacious building, parking lot, greens, vegietable and/or herb garden, and flower??????? gardens. •various good taste musics ?? ? ??, for when they eat their healthy foods *} in big dining area with a BIG, pleasant looking, GAS FIREPLACE •PLUS family is allowed to eat there too for a very low price with good portioned sizes of yummies? -Just phone?☎️/? them in advance to ask them if you please my eat there to that day/evening. •wheelchair ¿.♿️ dances?? •There are good, fun activities, eg.) arts?,? •A loving resident ??? named Iia? ?????

They only want a specific type of patient here. Low income need not apply even if you are allowed to - they just want money and know low incomes can't afford the outings, travel to appointments/Regina, cable/phone etc. They have to take low incomes by law but really don't want them so there is a bias. They prefer all the patients just relieve themselves in bed rather than use the washroom if they can as it requires a lift which is a lot of work for them instead of rolling patient over to change them which is easier. Doctor comes on Wednesday mornings for 1 hour if you are lucky.
