T	Teresa John on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started working as a PSW this Mar, I have never been sick a day in my life (58 yrs) my near perfect attendance in the last 7+ yrs should of vouched for itself, I don't call in sick!! unfortunate for me that changed Mar 31, emerg surgery April 2, hosp x3, still worked while in pain and recuperating, I called PSW MgrApril 19, to speak to her about my recent health issues, I went to work April 20, I was fired !!
J	J FALK on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ UPDATE: 2022 I chose to update this review because after 4 years and being a Essential Caregiver for my parents at this facility ESPECIALLY during Covid Pandemic it is only fair. There are times when staffing levels have been low, but I have come to learn that VV staff are more than willing to pick up the slack. I must say now that care for my parents has been 95% and getting to know the staff has been a pleasure and seeing that they honestly care about the residents. From the laundry room staff to CEO, they are top notch. Being an honest review Yes things sometimes get overlooked or hasty decisions BUT at the end of the day. The residents care is #1. I have experience with other LTC facilities in Simcoe County and VV is definitely among top 3. I visit this facility daily to care for family member. For 20 months I have observed many questionable circumstances. It appears that like I'm sure many places there are great staff that care and others who just show up to collect a pay cheque The biggest concern and I have many documented examples is that facility management HAS NO CLUE and often one department doesn't follow recommendations of another When you get the tour and sales pitch, it's not as advertised . To many bosses, not enough staff, 2 PSWs for 20 residents is common. 3 stars only because some staff deserve an award.
C	Canadian Maple on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would give this place 0 stars if I could! Horrible place to work and favouritism at it’s finest. Management tends to favour certain employees over others.. If you aren’t close or good friends with management they won’t care or believe anything you have to say. If full timer or people who’ve been there long don't like you, it only takes 1 sabotaging word to management and you're fired. You can’t get full time unless you have 2 lines even if you’re working full time hrs…You will have to work every weekend if you want 2 permanent lines to get actual full time hrs with benefits . Lot’s of drama and snitching going on in this place you get framed for stuff you haven’t done. Some people who have been there long think they own the floor and treat the new hires very poorly. Save you’re self the stress and work somewhere else! Some nice people and made a few friends but management is terrible so you won’t get you’re say even if you haven’t done what they are accusing you of, management pretends they are listening but they really aren’t listening at all. Overall horrible place to work.
