★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an excellent experience. Winmar was fast and efficient with excellent communication. Their workers were personable and professional at all times. The project manager was amazing, she made sure we were 100% happy with the work done before we could sign off on the job. I highly recommend this company to anybody that needs a restoration company!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They caused a second flood and ignored my calls to get back in to fix it for 2 days. The company they subcontracted disconnected the plumbing to all my appliances in my condo during renovations and "sealed" the pipe from my kitchen sink to my dishwasher with a loose piece of packing tape. They then mixed drywall mud in my sink and drained it there, clogging the pipes. when the water from the units above me came through the clogged pipes it flooded my kitchen. The contractor working on my unit was informed of the second flood and did nothing about it for 2 days while water poured into the hallways and they wouldn't contact me. Had my strata remove them from the job immediately.

All of the above is true and should stand as a true example of my experience. Though after this review (and only after this review), in response I will say that the PR team was generous in compensating me for additional lost costs incurred by the delay of the second flood that my insurance did not fully cover. Winmar itself isn't necessarily the issue but they need to be much more diligent when vetting their subcontractors. definitely a mixed bag. If you want to go with Winmar, be sure to actively be in contact with their management if you want the job done right. up to 2 stars from 1 in original post

Her communication was excellent and we felt very confident that she would take care of us through the whole process. I would Not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to anyone needing this kind of service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our fridge water line burst and made a mess! Winmar was there quickly and cleaned up the water and set up fans so that any left over moisture was gone. Once that was complete my PM Elisa worked quickly to get our house back to normal! Every time the crew left our house they left it in amazing condition, cleaner then when they arrived every time. I really loved how my PM listened to me too. When things didn't go as planned (as they always do in construction) she made it right quickly! I would recommend them to anyone that needs their services. Very Happy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Winmar was awarded the rebuild of our home after it was burnt in a large house fire in April 2020. Janessa Brown's reputation precedes her as a professional business woman who knows the ins and outs of the construction world. Janessa has lived up to her reputation in every way. She has helped us navigate the difficult world of an insurance rebuild and fought for us when needed to ensure our rebuild was completed properly and to our standards.
Janessa's right hand man, Mike is a great foreman. He always asked for our opinions and advise on finishes and such. As my husband also works in the construction industry, he held Mike to a very high standard and Mike shone through as a great person to run the site. I was always so grateful to hear an update from Mike on the progress and he addressed any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Overall, working with Janessa and Mike and the rest of the Winmar team has been a great experience. The devastation that occurs after a house fire is unbelievable and it is so appreciated to have people like Janessa and Mike support you through a rebuild.
I would highly recommend Winmar for any restoration project.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently had some water damage in my home from work done by the previous owner. My insurance connected me with Winmar and their assessor Jamie Oliver. She was extremely thorough in her assessment and dealt tirelessly with my insurance company. She was very responsive to my questions and was very accessible when I needed to get hold of her. She was able to secure a settlement with my insurance company that covered all of my costs. I can't recommend her enough!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently had a dishwasher flood in our home into a revenue generating suite. Winmar was fantastic at working within our schedule of booked visitors. They came on time and provided excellent quality of workmanship. I was most delighted to come home after the job was completed (fully expecting to be cleaning up drywall dust for days) into the repaired the space and it was SPOTLESS. Incredible! Thank you Winmar!

Right from my first connection with the project manager, I felt like my property was a priority and they took the utmost of care in their work. We received prompt attention and great customer service even though our region had just experienced a crazy windstorm and their team was full out responding to emergency calls. I would recommend their services and professionalism!
