There were so many levels of poor service that it's hard to name them all. After our basement flood, Stutters' initial response was great--they arrived quickly and seemed to get everything organized right away. We were just grateful to have the disaster managed. But that's where the good organization ended. Despite us being told there was a schedule for the work, contractors either showed up days *before* we were expecting them (because no one kept them informed about the progress of the work), or failed to show up at all--as was the case with Stutters' plumber of choice, Checkered Plumbing. We waited weeks for those guys to come and finish the bathroom, which held up everything that came after them. And the contractor responsible for the cabinets, baseboards and painting actually abandoned the project at the end and paid *us* to finish his work. The Stutters "project manager" rarely knew what was going on and seemed to have no ability to manage anything. Getting updates from him was like pulling teeth and by the end we just wanted it to be over so we'd never have to deal with them again. There are a number of restoration companies in town, so do yourself a favour and call literally ANYONE else.

We got stung by a leaky dishwasher that hid it's problem for several months (years maybe even) before showing any signs of a leak. By the time we realized there was a problem, the water damage had gone deep, the entire wall cavity was completely saturated. There was walls on two stories of house to open and dry out, about 1000SqFt of flooring to replace, several cabinets to replace and all the remediation work to get the house back to original condition. Stutters DKI was selected for us by our insurance so we didn't really get a say in the decision to hire them. I was somewhat aware of the company by reputation so I wasn't concerned when they were selected. I made the call to my insurance company at 900-930AM on a Monday, Stutters had a crew on site by 11AM! This impressed right off the start and my impression of them never dwindled. As I expected, the job went without a hitch. Our project manager (Brie) was both professional and pleasant to work with, while also being very good understanding our concerns and doing whatever she could to both put our minds at ease and streamline the job. They (contractors and Stutters) even went out of their way to split the job into phases so that the tenant could stay in the house while the repairs were being performed, this was absolutely above & beyond in my books. The job was completed to our complete satisfaction, the pricing was fair and all of the contractors involved were very professional. There was some minor issues with quality of work and some minor deficiencies at the end of the job but as soon as I mentioned anything, it was corrected right away. We'd definitely hire Stutters DKI again and I'd recommend them to anyone that asks.

Stutters was one of the worst companies I have had to deal with in my entire life. I am writing this review now that my insurance claim is finally complete. I will try my best to keep my review brief, as I have a LOT to mention. Stutters was brought in by my insurance agency to do an assessment of the damages. After doing a walk through, it was identified that water had gone into the next room under the flooring (with our brand new floor, installed a week prior). We were told not to worry about it and they would have a team there to dry and save what they can ASAP. The next day we heard nothing from them. We took it upon ourselves to remove and salvage the floorboards as we quickly realized these bozos weren't coming. That evening we gave them a call to see where they were, and nobody seemed to know. We eventually got a call back from the head honcho with an excuse and apologies, and was told they would have some people out the next day - but by then, our floors and walls had been soaking for a straight 48 hours with no fans, or dehumidifiers. By the time they actually got anyone out here with fans, and dehumidifiers, the water had been soaking for nearly 3 solid days. We ended up going to Rona and buying our own fans during this time. To this day, I can only assume their negligence was to increase the water damage caused in order to increase their billable hours to my insurance agency. Although this is merely an allegation, I reported this directly to my insurance agency, with as much evidence as possible in hopes that they may audit their past work, and reconsider recommending them to clients in the future. During the experience, there were many times where we were told that people would "come out" to do things, which they never did. In every single circumstance, I had to call in (usually multiple times) to get updates, and guaranteed dates when people would come out. The communication with the "manager" was a complete joke. We spoke with some of the employees about this, and they told us this was a regular occurrence. (Red flag much?) Eventually it got to the point where we told our insurance provider that we would refuse to work with Stutters anymore, and they would be refused to enter the property if they showed up. After some back and forth, we were able to negotiate a different contractor to complete the repairs (which they were able to do in under a week, under budget, and with no communication issues). Overall, my experience with Stutters was exhausting. I don't know if all the project managers at Stutters are idiots, or if it was just the one we had, but when your own employees are telling clients that the issue is with management, it's time for some self reflection. On the note of self reflection, I would also like to add that the work performed by the employees was great - all of the issues were purely a management, communications, and scheduling problem. For these reasons, I have been quite vocal to everyone I know to let them know of our experience with Stutters DKI. I will do everything in my power to save others from the experience we went through, and it takes every ounce of strength in my body to not bite through my tongue in anger when I drive by their office every other day. If someone at Stutters would like to contact me, please feel free. Although it has been a few months since this happened, I would be happy for another opportunity to explain how awful your organization is, and how I hope you are shut down for your abhorrent negligence and inability to do simple tasks like writing a date down on a calendar, or picking up the phone.

We awoke to a flood in our basement at 7am may 3rd....Stutters was at our door by 8:15 and were so incredibly efficient and friendly. We would definitley recommend Stutters to all our friends

6 months waiting for service. No return calls. Abysmal customer service. Will never hire again, nor recommend to anyone. Companies soend a lot on advertising. All they had to do was call or better yet, show up when promised.

Stutters came out to my home after a flood and helped to make the entire process less stressful for us. The staff were all very kind and respectful and I appreciate all they did to help us!

We had a flood in our basement when we were away on holidays and the house sitter called Stutters. They came right away and got rid of the water and put up fans to dry everything out . We had great service from them .

Great services and always have the best equipment. In terms of restoration companies they have stood out in my opinion. Loved working with them and appreciate their hard work in these challenging times with Covid and staffing.
