Willowbrae Academy Cambridge

This is a good Centre to bring your child, a good place for child's development and activities! The teachers are very hard working, super friendly and importantly love their jobs with the kids.

Easily the best daycare in Cambridge. Amazing staff, bright and positive atmosphere, and amazing curriculum! All of my kids go here and I am seeing tremendous growth in all of them. I can see the growth through the daily reports which is an important part of my day now. I check in to watch them playing while I’m sitting at work. I wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else. Thank you Willowbrae!

My child has a special need and one of the selling points was that Willowbrae was that professional help could be readily accessed. During the first week, my child progressed for the better, and remained the same throughout the second week. However, when my child was stagnating, I was frustrated asked for professional intervention, which can take anywhere between 2-4 weeks. I was convinced otherwise, even though the advice wasn't based on any professional or educated expertise. Also the nice Educators were basically being directed by baseless orders. Basically a 'general' leading soldiers into a battle they can't win. At the beginning of the 3rd week, my child got actually regressed worse than when day care began. At this point, I didn't want to wait any further and asked for professional intervention, which again was told to postpone. My child was hurting and I could see the deterioration in his health. I was sad and angry didn't want to send my child anymore. I had to explain why I eventually became very angry. The reply and the first long paragraph was how their unprofessional, and uneducated handling of my child went 'unrecognized'. Basically I had hurt their feelings was the first response. The reply was a detailed in compelling me to apologize, and so I did. Their first reply couldn't be a self reflection of what went wrong and asked me to word for word explain, and so I wrote a very long winded and detailed second email as to what went wrong. Then a very generic reply of 'I understand your frustration', but they still couldn't find out what they should have done to say the least, and asked me what could be improved upon. Apparently what happened from their end was correct. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this point, or maybe both, but I'm just happy that my child is out of that place.

My daughter has been attending Willowbrae for 2.5 months now. The centre is exceptional. The building is meticulously cared for, there is a huge outdoor space, and classrooms are generously outfitted with educational and age appropriate toys/materials. The staff are wonderful and they take great pride in caring for the children. Class sizes are small as the centre fills up, which has been an added bonus in terms of individual attention. There is a great sense of security at Willowbrae, both physically (cameras, finger print ID, etc) and in terms of education and well being. The three educational scopes, solid nutritious menus, and kidfit programs give me so much reassurance that my daughter's every need is being met. I recommend this daycare to every parent I know. It's truly world class.

My children (4 and 2) have been going to Willowbrae since September 2020 and they absolutely love it. The transition back to work and daycare for me during a pandemic was hard, but the rules and protocols in places have made it such an easy transition for our family. The kids never want to leave and are so excited to go to "school" every morning. The teachers have been great if we have any concerns and are so easy to talk to and get ahold of. I can't recommend Willowbrae enough.

Outstanding Daycare! Highly recommend it to any parent.This cozy and family like atmosphere. Amazing teachers and management. My both children are at Willowbrae and I believe it is the best in Cambridge .

It has taken me some time to write this post but I find it important that I do. This place was amazing when Sherry was the director but unfortunately with the new director, it went downhill. Both myself and a friend whose daughter was here had to pull our kids out. The staff literally walked around all day, very rarely engaged with the kids and did maybe one to two 5 minutes activities throughout the day. When I brought it to the attention of the director, it was disregarded and made to seem that I was the problem. The cameras showed my child literally playing with his boots and a garbage can throughout the day and I would ask if the teachers could sit and play and redirect kids and was told that they do. I have plenty more to say but the gist of it is that the director and staff are awful and no one should be paying those ridiculous prices for the horrible horrible experience that we both had.

I enrolled my son in Willowbrae Academy Cambridge in mid-Dec 2021 and I am impressed with how well they treat kids and take care of them. They are very patient with my sons needs as it was his first time going to a child care center and he is a very shy kid. They took things with his pace and let him settle at his own time. They tried settling him when he used to cry when he first started and were gentle + kind with him. I am so grateful to get to see him through their live cameras which brings me a peace of mind knowing he is well taken care of. I would highly recommend this to any new parent. I am so happy with Jessica, Danielle and their team. All the teachers are nice and warm.
