★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been going since the 90s and through different owners. Great location. Good sandwiches, muffins, cookies, treats, etc. And otherwise really nice proprietors. BUT if you go in the afternoon and they deem business too slow for them, they will not make coffee*. From after lunch to closing time you may not be able to get a coffee here. Serious. This review is based on many experiences over the years and comments have been made directly. I would think having leftover brewed coffee at the end of the day is the price of having a coffee shop. It does say "Coffee House" on the awning, correct? So serve coffee as long as you are open or don't call yourself a coffee house. On this point about coffee availability, I am giving two stars but I want to give 2 and a half. (*EDIT: That is flavoured coffee. Apparently, one might be able to get regular coffee....but still....)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend and I went there after an afternoon walk for coffee but I decided to get a gelato. Tiramisu flavor was recommended by the staff and he didn't fail me ? The place was not very busy that day so we lingered there until almost closing time. The place is clean, has a spacious seating area and I love the wall art (for sale) on the side. Must try cafe!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is one of the worst coffee shops I’ve ever been to. The owners are so rude and aggressive. They also are not children or family friendly. The food is all stale and not fresh. Take your business somewhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to take my 7 year old for ice cream. He has a peanut allergy. We asked the older gentleman if the ice cream had peanuts. It was fairly busy at the time. Rather than check for peanuts in the mango coconut or bubblegum ice cream he just waived his hand in the air and said yeah yeah it’s all peanuts. Lazy. Rude. Inconsiderate. Garbage food too.

I know what Kodiak from Canterbury SHOULD taste like, and mud water it doesn't. No cream, a stingy amount of homog milk is a best as you can get. Barely understood the grunting, usually go to White down the block but they don't open until 9.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Personal favorite for hot drinks at the beach; staff is friendly and greets you right when you step in. Quick service; convenient location. The gentleman running this business does a great job whenever I purchase any hot drink(s) from him.. Take my friends to his shop on our weekend trips to White Rock.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Dalgona milk tea was a refreshing drink. Sweet but not overly. The coffee we had was really good. Next time we will try the ice cream. Most customers were eating ice cream there. It is located across from the beach.
