Mice. And to top it off I signed put of my lease and am now taking a hit for it. Dirty and maintenance is poor. Do not rent from boardwalk ever they really run you through

I suggest you don't live here. Worst experience I've had in an apartment building when it came to the move out process and I've lived in several apartment buildings. Save yourself the hassle, there are lots of options in Edmonton.

Do not for your own sake move into any of the Westridge Estates A, B, or C or a matter of fact any BoardWalk facility. I am only giving a star to warn people in this review of these facilities. When I first moved in, I had problems from pipes under my kitchen and bathroom sink exposed, to exposed wires from broken electrical sockets, to the toilet filling to the brim with water and barely flushing and even had a plunger the day I moved in. After problems with the toilet and asking them to replace it, they tried saying that water filling to the rim and gurgling as flushing is normal and that they give EVERYONE a plunger. Haha. Yeah. Right. Having lived in Boardwalk before I called maintenance out on the lie and they had to replace it at that point. Fridge coolant ran out and my food was going bad and they still tried to say they "fixed" it when it still wasnt working and I had to insist on a new one because I knew if he couldnt fix it the first time (fan working compressor working no humidity buildup or ice buildup fan running the air the right way) that the coolant more than likely was run out and the fridge needed to be replaced. Exposed pipes so evidentally having bugs in the winter every day, had to insist on them covering it. They tried saying they didnt have to because there were problems before so theyd keep it uncovered for future. Bull. Sh**. If someone is having exposed pipes, guaranteed they'll be getting bugs by the load. No weather stripping on the window or door. In the winter. Had to call them back twice to do it because the first time was such a lazy job he only did the door and not the window. Broken glass around my patio for almost TWO WEEKS of me calling, only when I went to the main manager in person did they finally go clean it up....Calcium buildup on the tub faucet so bad I was chipping off chunks. This is the best part, almost all BoardWalk sinks Ive noticed have hard rubber caulking or the sealant thats around the outer rim of a bathroom sink. They now use silicone and latex or the white or clear rubbery glue like substance around sinks toilets and tubs. Why? Because there is a hollow space between a sink and the rubber caulking, theres no filler in that space so what happens? Moisture gets in, and then you have years of dirt mold mildew growing right under that rim. You also cant clean it unless you pull the whole thing out. The caulking on my sink was lifting, so I figured Id take a toothbrush and clean since Im that anal of a cleaner. When I got in with the toothbrush there was 2 to 3 inches of dirt mold building in the hollow space between the sink and the outdated caulking. So of course Im pissed as Im trying to live in a clean healthy home and Im finding one thing after the other AND I had a guest coming over. So one of the landlords, Mehwish or "Mae" comes down with the maintenance guy and I show them saying they have to replace it, well in reality it shouldve been replaced long ago and I shouldnt have to be the one telling them that. So Mae actually says to me "Maybe you should clean it better" to which I laughed at her saying "I take a toothbrush to nooks and crannies of my toilet, and I need to clean better?" So the maintenance guy tries saying the "same problem" happens with silicone and latex. Again I called him out with intellectual educated home hardware facts about WHY the same problem DOESNT occur with silicone or latex and of course he was left speechless and had to replace it because he had no excuse NOT to. Latex or silicone caulking doesnt a. Cost that much or b. take barely any time to replace from rubber caulking since you just pull it out and theres no residue from hard rubber to clean out. Oh and now, theres a bunch of beetles magically appearing under my stove which I cant move. I am looking for a new apartment and even breaking my lease early to leave. Disgusting facility and disgusting laziness for upkeep.

I am seeing that all the negative reviews say that this building is Boardwalk? It's only Westridge Estates B and C that are owned by Boardwalk. Apartments are clean and quiet. Staff is friendly and will answer questions at any time. Had a sink issue that was fixed almost immediately (the next day) when I called in the middle of the night about it. Maintenance is great as well.

DO NOT RENT HERE. The list of reasons why has gotten so long ill put it the form of a list. - Mice, Cartpet beatles (two types), and ant infestations. - laundry machines. Are always broken and unclean. - they take years and constant reminding to do repairs or anything. - MANAGMENT. when you have any concerns you may need to address the manager angela is very uncommunicative and get offended if you ask her anything to do with a job she hasnt done yet. When asked to speak to her mamager who works for Quinco Financial Of which I can not remember his name his response was that there are nicer amd cheaper apartments everywhere and that if I am not happy then I should move because they do not plan to improve simply because they do not have to. -poor communication and lying from managment too, after talking to multiple other tenants about if they had mice or bugs and getting confirmation that they did, i asked the building manager if any other tenants had complained about these issues and she was quick to lie to me and rudely tell me no other tenant had any issues, she says this to anyone who has an issue to make them feel silly and alone in there problem so they dont talk to other tenants and so they can shame tenants into not bringing up concerns like this often. - when they do take care of problems they send people to your apartment without putting 24 hour notices under your door, so you will have no time to clean up. - You will absolutely not get your damage deposit back even if you left it in prestine condition. They are actually trying to charge tenants additional 5000 dollars ontop of there damage after they were pressured out by them to replace carpet and paint walls of a normal wear and tear apartment. - If you are smart enough to read reviews before renting a place and you got this far on my review then you are smart enough to follow West Ridge Estates A's and Quinco Financials own advice and find a better place elsewhere for cheaper because there are places everywhere that are better than here and they dont have to/want to do better so they simply wont.

DONT RENT HERE!! My boyfriend and I lived here for 6 months and we did not a get a penny back of our damage deposit. We couldnt even do laundry here because the washer and dryers are horrible. The management are just scum and want to take all your money.

Do not rent here! The building has an ongoing, untreated cockroach problem. The pest control company that the owners use do not solve the issue. Laying down traps only once without coming out every few weeks to check up on the situation is not a permanent solution. They also refuse to rent to tenants on income support which is absolutely discriminatory. Prospective tenants stay away from this absolute mess of a property management company.
