We offer a full range of comprehensive veterinary medical services, including vaccinations, wellness exams, elective surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, and nutritional counselling.
About Westhills Veterinary Clinic
Dr. Jill Girgulis, a fear-free certified practitioner, completed two years of an undergraduate degree in neuroscience before pursuing veterinary medicine at the University of Calgary. Throughout her veterinary degree, she spent time at various clinics in Alberta, and has been interested in small animal medicine since day one. Jill graduated in 2020 and joined the team at Westhills Veterinary Clinic in the fall of 2020, and is excited to have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with her new clients and their animals. Living in Calgary her whole life, Jill grew up in a busy family of three sisters and several dogs and cats over the years. The menagerie currently includes two senior cats, a Border Collie, and an Australian Shepherd.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Robbins is hands-down the best of the very best!! I actually believe she has angels wings hidden under her lab coat. ;)
I plan on adding more to this review asap. For now though, Dr R has taken utmost care of my 4 doggo's since early 2019. From endstage cancer to other complex issues.
Yes, you are going to pay a bit more however even if low income like me, I cannot express strongly enough that your beloved pet/family member will receive THE BEST OF THE VERY BEST care from Dr Robbins.
All of the Receptionists and others I've met are fantastic too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Lynnette Sinclair-Smith is very knowledgable, attentive, and caring. She and the vet tech, Nicole, are amazing and I'm so glad they were both there when my last cat passed away.
Dr. Robbins recently treated my cat and she was very sweet and thorough. And, of course, the front desk staff are great too! I highly recommend Westhills Veterinary Clinic!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While Dr. Robbins and Dr. Girgulis we’re amazing, and the VTA’s, RVT’s and CCS’s were fun to work alongside, and always supportive and professional, the management team is condescending, and abusive.
Lynette is verbally abusive to her staff, and constantly defames and belittles other veterinarians, other clinics, and her own staff with no regard for mental health and safety.
Both Lynette and Suzanne treat their clientele with respect and kindness - but only in front of them. Once their regular, long time clients would leave, they would make disgusting comments about families and their pets.
I saw the previous reviews when I was hired, and took it with a grain of salt. That would be my biggest regret.
This clinic could be outstanding, without their management team of Janet Rutherford, Lynette Sinclair-Smith and Suzanne Adams-Hird.
New hires, and potential clients, beware.
I know they will read this, and I hope they attempt to silence me like they did (and bragged about during my first week) to countless previous employees.
Everyone working there currently, just know that the veterinary industry doesn’t think of them kindly either, and you can find somewhere safe to work ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend was told her pet needed to be put down unfortunately. She had to argue with Dr Suzanne Adams Hird to let her bring the pet home to say goodbye. She decided to go through another vet service for it in the end, and did not have a chance to let the vet know her decision. 24 hours later a peace officer shows up at her door, claiming my friend was neglecting her pet!!!! So unprofessional of the vet, to throw such accusations at a family who is already going through a rough time in such a harsh way. I will never bring my pets there.

Being new to the veterinary industry, being given the opportunity to work alongside such amazing people who truly love what they do, is more than I ever could have imagined. Seeing the love and compassion doctors like Dr. SinclairSmith and Dr. Adams-Hird have for their clients and patients, has inspired me and helped me to remember why I chose this career path. I had never been in such a caring and respectful environment until starting here and the management team is who I thank deeply for that. ❤️

I have always been treated with kindness and respect. The staff are like family and have supported me in all aspects of life. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’ve been going to this clinic for 15 years. The staff at the front desk are friendly, caring and responsive. The vet techs are great and helpful. Dr Robbins is an excellent vet with good judgement. She is caring, provides good explanations, is patient and has the best interest of our pets and family in mind when recommending treatment. I highly recommend this clinic for your pet care.
