★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not knowing about coin collecting, went there to find out and get info on some old coins my wife found based on people's reviews. Reviews are misleading, person behind the counter,I am assuming is the owner, not only belittled our lack of knowledge on coin collecting but gave us attitude about "wasting his time " with our "junk" and it was only good at a bank. Arrogant pr#*k.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gentlemen (owner) was rude & impatient. I was willing to spend for his time (to evaluate some currency) but was not even given the opportunity. I have some items of value and was told he’s too busy with other matters and phone calls. I went as far as asking him if I did something wrong. Please find other businesses to support other than this one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a 21 yr (former) customer of Western Coins & Stamp Ltd I am appalled at the treatment I received from owner Jim Richardson. In Feb, 2019 Mr. Richardson botched the value of some silver I sold to him, to his detriment & after I went to a lot of trouble to give him $4,636 (that I didn’t have to) to make up for his mistake he promised to compensate me for my efforts. That was 2 yrs ago & after checking back with Jim a number of times all I have been met with amounts to hollow promises & at this point, based on my experience, I personally do not believe him to be a man of his word.
What makes this even worse is the fact that before this event I had been a routine Western Coins & Stamp customer, dating back to 2000. Always friendly, respectful & courteous to Jim. Ultimately I thought there was a high degree of rapport between us & that I was respected as a long time customer - sadly now I feel nothing could have been further from the truth. Never again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Service, Polite and educational for a newbie. I have never purchased an investment before, and the gentleman who helped me was very informative, taught me some things, and made my first purchase of silver. I don't know why there are some low reviews, but all I can say is.... Come in with a positive and polite attitude, and you will get the same in return. I had zero issues going there, and leaving quite happy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice shop near richmond center to buy coins, currency notes, stamps and precious metals. The guys working at shop are also very helpful and friendly. I'm thinking to grab some more stuff soon ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Knowledgable store owner who obviously is doing what he loves. Won't really budge on the prices on cheaper items. If you are buying more expensive pieces I get the feeling he will negotiate. I'm talking spending over 500$ or more. I learn something new everytime I go to the store from Jim. Coin stores are a different environment from other stores. Every one has bad days and good days.
