Filled with an amazing vibe, going here has allowed me to grow as a person and as an athlete, and I always feel supported and encouraged by Sensei Matt and the people around me. One of my favourite memories is of Sensei Matt telling me to demonstrate, then everyone clapping for me after. This dojo is honestly amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been with WVKA from the very beginning when Sensei Matt took over. He has been an excellent karate teacher and coach, a mentor and a fantastic leader by example. All the credits go to Sensei Matt for where our kids are today as karate athletes and as confident and respectful individuals. They thrive at the dojo and look forward to their classes. We are truly lucky to have WVKA and Sensei Matt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have know Matt for a number of years and I am pleased to see how this dojo has performed over the years. Whether it’s his high performance classes, beginner classes or even birthday parties Sensei Matt teaches with a passion and purpose to motivate all the children in his dojo.
I have had the pleasure to coach against him and with him at the National Championships and am always impressed with how he conducts himself and the values that he teaches his students.
If you have a child who you think would benefit from Martial Arts this is definitely a place that you should check out!

They are more confident and exude a respectful attitude towards others. This is all thanks to our Sensey Matt Bickel. Matt is an exceptional and rare to find leader, who is attentive and supportive towards each student - he is an excellent role model for my boys. Also, under his leadership, his students participate and Win at the karate championships!

It also allows you to work in an competitive yet friendly environment. You are able to meet friends, mentors and other amazing people. It allowed me and many others to work out and increase our physical abilities. But other than physical stuff, it teachs you respect, and humility. It over all is an amazing place and community with so many opportunities and chances to improve yourself in every way.
