Had to phone them 4 times and each time they calmly said someone will be right there to pick you up. The next day I woke up to a flat tire. I spent the whole day trying to get it fixed. A very big lack in communication with these guys. Finally got it fixed and the tire company couldn’t believe they would rent a car with almost bald tires. That one was on me for failing to inspect the tires before renting…

No explanation outside of the lame, “it is not available”; even though it remains listed on their site as available. I can only assume they decided to rent it out to someone else at a higher price… I tried to email them back but the address keeps bouncing back. I wouldn’t recommend working with them.

This is worst company I have ever seen.1) no one picked up phone for picking me up from suggested location., had to call taxi to reach pick up location 2) Rude staff behaving as if he is obliging us. 3) Could receive car at 11:30 am while booking was for 10 am, in a real dirty filthy condition smelling badly from inside 4) normally card is blocked for deposit and not charged , person charged 1500 cad on my credit card over and above by invoice. After returning car I had to remind for refund of CAD 1500 after two weeks I could get refund. Never ever rent a car from this. The booking was through carrentals.com. They also must be aware of this facts

Also, we had a flat and Chamo from the Richmond branch changed our tire free of charge. When we brought our car back they offered to bring us back to the airport free of charge as well. 100% would recommend.
T	Ty Smokanagan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I previously posted a negative review and really should have just emailed customer service BEFORE posting, but I was quite upset being overcharged for gas that 100% was not full when I picked up the car. (under 1/2) UPDATE: the manager called me and located the original check-in sheet with the proper details / gas tank amount, apologized on behalf of his staff for the mistake, as the long weekend was very busy, AND refunded the extra charge that wasn't needed. This business is very busy, very close to the airport and has unbeatable prices and selections for car rental. I understand working long hours during a long weekend can have its toll on employees, but the professionalism of the follow up from customer service make it good in my books :)

Be ready for hefty pre authorization charged to your credit card but you will be refunded this back when car is returned. Don't buy the insurance online, instead ask the crew at west coast car rental to recommend you a reasonable insurance protection when you pick up the car from them. Detailed explanation was given to me which gave me a peace of mind to drive. Upon returning you can request them to drive you to the airport, they will send you without second thought, which was a nice surprise!
