G	Grant R on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my external hard drive assessed at another computer business and I was told that I needed "Hardware Recovery" and I was quoted a price of $750-$1000. I contacted WeRecoverData to get a second opinion. I paid the assessment fee and sent my hard drive to them. They quoted me a price of $1850 plus tax, and a replacement drive! I asked them to send it back to me as that price was beyond what I was willing to pay. When I received the hard drive back, it was repaired! They clearly got it working again prior to me paying their repair fee, and did not notify me of this. How dishonest and shameful! I could have spent approximately $2000 for nothing! I would not recommend this company to anyone!

And the process continued to be delayed / pushed back. Communication throughout the process however was good, their only saving grace. I had high hopes originally because it seemed as if there were lots of files recovered. But as mentioned, a lot are corrupt and a lot of then do not belong to me. <- that is especially concerning. No post sale customer support regarding this issue since I have reached out to them. I highly suggest asking for your hard drive back, do not participate in the recycling program, in the event you want to try recovery elsewhere

If your hard drive died and it was encrypted then this is the best place to recover your data. I went to other place and they wasted my three weeks but had no clue about recovering encrypted hard drives. I brought it to them and they exactly knew what to do.
