I would stay away from this shop. We had gone in for a repair of a laptop keyboard, and they disconnected the battery internally to make it seem as though the laptop's battery also needed repair. We only found this out by later taking the laptop to Apple in which they told us this was done. Upon contacting SM Laptop Point about this, they were very dismissive of the situation, changed their story a few times, and would offer no refund or appropriate explanation. Overall, extremely disappointing experience, not a trustworthy shop, I would go elsewhere.

Great service. Wife's laptop screen wasnt working , he had the part ordered and fixed within 48 hours. His prices and customer service is unmatched. Definitely recommend this to be the first place you go for your cpu servicing needs.

Fixing laptop well and reasonable price in north york

Horrible experience, I suggest you go anywhere else. Long story, but basically, I dropped orange juice on my laptop. He was supposed to replace my keyboard and simply clean the inside of the laptop. Instead, he messed it up more, and tried to charge me for it. When I went to pick it up, firstly the keyboard was all sticky and not working, but he said by using it it'll become better (it has NOT). SECONDLY, he said the battery does not work anymore and he tried to charge me $150 to fix it. I took my laptop to Apple to make sure, but the Apple employee informed me that the battery was fine, but that the person did not put it in properly (and must have been on purpose). NEXT, the Apple employee informed me that the guy LEFT A NOTE IN THE LAPTOP effectively voiding my Apple Care, to force me to go back to him to "fix" my battery (just putting it back in the correct way). I called this man multiple times trying to work out a solution, and he just kept making up excuses (first he said he would NEVER leave a note, then when I said I saw the note at Apple, he changed his story to saying he leaves a note for "warranty" purposes). Then he said that the battery must have dried up on its own from the orange juice and started working, to which I replied: I paid you to clean it, so that means you did not clean it properly (and this is when he paused for a few moments before yelling that he was tired and did not want to argue with me). In addition, the Apple employee informed me the battery was simply disconnected (which must have been done on purpose). When I called back to ask him about that, he said that he must have disconnected it for safety purposes on purpose - but still wanted to charge me to have it reconnected! This man kept creating more and more excuses. I paid $250 to clean my laptop and have the keyboard fixed -- he did neither. When I mentioned that I was going to leave a negative review to warn people from his place, he said it was "blackmail." And then he left me a text saying "Don't call me again. What ever you want do it." So if you want someone to scam you, ruin your laptop, and lie to you all for the price of $250 - this is the place to go. If you want your electronics fixed, go somewhere else!

Dewan is very skilled and professional. I had a laptop problem that was very difficult to fix and he spent a lot of time and used his expertise to repair it. His pricing is very fair also. I would highly recommend him. Saved me from buying a new laptop.

An excellent service. Dewan (the shop owner and tech repair guy) was very nice and was able to tell us the cost and time for the repair right away. He already had the right part in his shop for the repair of my Surface Pro 6. He was able to get the repair done in less then a day, and the service was very efficient! Highly recommend!
