I love the transformation of this building . I’ve noticed that maintenance consistently vacuums and mops each floor , especially the lobby. It’s clean, it’s fresh, and professional

Head the warning and avoid at all cost. When I moved in the unit had been given a once over and freshened up. Regrettably, the work had been done so poorly that the upgrades were cosmetic only. When things break expect them to remain so. Management does not respond to service requests. And the emergency hotline is in name only. There is constant construction, which could be tolerable if basic efforts were made to reduce noise, dust, garbage and debris (sharp metals, nails, screws, wood, tiles) left in common areas. Not only does the physical debris present a health and safety hazard, the fact that you can taste the dust in the air probably means that it is coating your lungs. The plumbing is completely outdated and inadequate. There are constant backups caused this and from other units, creating unsanitary living conditions for all. Repeated repairs to the boilers also seem to do little to improve the reliability and temperature of the hot water. The elevators are consistently out of service and you can expect the fire alarm system to sound almost daily, either due to faults or people smoking in their units or stairwells. The heat in my unit went from inadequate to non-existent and no repairs or replacements made to the baseboard heaters, despite repeated requests over the years. In addition to the lack of preventative maintenance, the building is infested with pests. Bedbugs, silverfish, pigeons and apocalyptic populations of roaches. Management sees no reason to address these, being content to leave the common areas riddled with dead pests (the stairwells a particular hot spot for dead roaches) and outside areas and balconies coated with pigeon feces. Little is done to dissuade the pigeons from using the entire structure like an 18-story dovecote. The only thing that Starlight appears to be on top of is rent increases which would be acceptable if Starlight Investments wasn't completely indifferent and contemptuous toward their tenants. They renovate common areas to fool you into believing that they care and to make the building presentable from the outside. On the inside it feels more like a Soviet-era apartment and building. Grey, cold and soul crushing. Starlight Investments and MetCap Living should both be charged with willful neglect.

155 Wellesley Street East is a great place to live. The property manager Zaynab and the resident manager, Amalia were very helpful when I needed assistance with a few matters. The entire management team at Metcap was excellent to deal with and I highly recommend this building to anyone looking for an apartment.

My overall experience living here at 155 Wellesley E is great so far. The only problem we had during the renovation of the common areas right after we moved in, otherwise staffs are really humble and helpful. Specially, Amalia has been so helpful, very responsive and super friendly ?. Common areas are always clean specially the lobby. Overall 5 star from me

It’s great place to live. Why? 1) Amalia the new manager is very supportive and responsive. They addressed all the issues I had when I moved in. 2) Rent is lesser than other similar properties in neighborhood 3) They offered 2 months free rent + 6 months parking free 4) All utilities are free 5) Building is renovated and clean 6) There is a Gym ( rare for apartments) 7) Good Underground parking 8) a pharmacy + health centre in building itself 9) Rabba 24 hr right opposite 10) close to bus stop Management can work on security. When I moved in many days I saw strangers barged in the lobby. Sleeping there.

Update: The photos attached are the tip of the iceberg of the current state of this building. Construction in the building started in September & was projected to end by October. We’re now in November with the end nowhere in sight. The people running this place are cowards & crooks & won’t respond to any emails so maybe this will get their attention. Nobody is paying rent to live in a smelly, dirty, rotting, noisy landfill. This place is a health hazard. There has been dust everywhere for weeks. I physically can’t stand being in my own unit for too long without having breathing problems. There are roaches in the lobby, nails, paint chips, leaves, garbage in every common area, holes in the stairwell, people passed out in the foyer (don’t bother calling their emergency lines, nobody here performs any job other than debt collector). This isn’t a residential space, this is a commercial junkyard. Prisons are kept in better condition. Can’t stress enough; avoid at all costs. rental agreement said there’d be no more construction going into this year. Not one honest person in this place. State of the place is inhumane & downright vile. Shame on everybody being paid to β€œmanage” this place. Metcap Living is a misnomer, try Metcap Surviving Lived here for a year and the experience has been mostly negative. A roach crawled out of the shower drain week 1. The building smells like an ashtray despite being advertised as non-smoking. When we first saw the unit, the balcony had a large bird's nest (with eggs) and was covered in bird excrement. We were explicitly assured that the mess would be cleaned up. It was not. This wasn't an anomaly, health violations are a reoccurring theme. A prior tenant's belongings were all over the apartment when we first moved in despite being told the unit had been cleaned spotlessly due to Covid. Took nearly a month to set-up our internet because a tenant underneath us had wrecked our wiring by doing prohibited work on their unit. A neighbour got bedbugs and we were instructed to move all of our furniture away from the wall, detach outlet coverings, etc in anticipation of a bug treatment. The techs come after 20+ hours of moving all our stuff around just for this treatment. They look inside 1 outlet and say "this unit was already treated". They leave after doing nothing. Days of manual labour for no purpose. Never got an apology. This building finds a way to make nearly every aspect of your life more painful. Nobody takes accountability. It's an uphill battle to have basic needs met. Avoid if you can

The building is clean. It’s quiet. & well taken care of . If I had concerns with anything , it was dealt with accordingly. For example , the internal heater doesn’t really work continuously to keep the apartment heated , and even though they said it’s automatically regulated, the apartment could still get very cold. HOWEVER, they did provide me with a portable Heater, which helped tremendously. Another plus - building renovations galore ! Happy to know see great changes to the building !
